The first quarter of the festival run for the DISAUTHORITY Originals production “Homonym” has been an absolute blast.

We started March off with a double premiere weekend across both sides of the pond, with a @wftv_uk Festival screening in London and @short.sweet.film.fest in Cleveland, Ohio, where we picked up the Outstanding Horror Film Award and the Audience Choice Award, and we are sending our deepest gratitude to the jury and audience.

Two weeks ago we had the privilege of screening at the BIFA-qualifying @uviewff and were honoured to have received award nominations for Best Sound (congratulations to Jamie Thomas), Best Costume Design (congratulations to @savannah.blum) and The Free at Last TV Award - Barry & David (@freeatlasttv).

And we’ll be rounding up spring with a screening at @romfordfilmfesival on Sunday May 24th as part of Short Film Showcase 7. Get your tickets at romfordfilmfestival.com and stay tuned for more very soon.

12 months since its premiere at @sunrisefilmfest “Paranoia” is wrapping up its fruitful festival run.

We are so incredibly grateful to programmers, jurors and audiences of 15 festivals across UK, US, Canada and Spain for their love and appreciation of the story and our work.

“Paranoia” is part of @festivalformula ‘s slate and we are forever thankful to Katy, Ian, Esther and the rest of the team for helping to spread the word about the film and making this circuit a breeze for us.

As we begin the festival run, we are excited to share the key art for the DISAUTHORITY Original Homonym, created by the one and only @danscombedesign.

It has been a little over a year since we wrapped production on this gem of a short film that has been pivotal in the development of our independent studio model and inspired the creation of our debut feature Sticks & Stones with @lilyhowkins.

Homonym is premiering in the UK today at 1pm at @thegardencinema as part of the Women In Film & TV Festival. Many thanks to @wftv_uk member and one of the composers @daisycoole for helping to platform this film to the community of female filmmakers and decision makers, and we are looking forward to bringing the story to wider audiences across the UK soon.

And tomorrow Homonym is having its US premiere at the @short.sweet.film.fest in Cleveland Ohio at 7pm as part of the Science Fiction & Horror Film Program.

Prepare to be intrigued and unsettled and decide for yourself whose side of the story you will believe.

Since then, Grace has been indispensable in helping me step into my ✨glam producer✨ persona for headshots corporate and artistsic, premieres, industry events and festivals over 30 times.

Grace’s creative vision and acute understanding of the mood and effect of the event we are glamming up for is impeccable and always helps me feel my best and most confident in often stressful and high pressure environments.

Grace is also an equally incredible Hair and Makeup Designer and it was a privilege to have my “bedraggled filmmaker” and “unwilling princess” looks designed by her for my madness of a grad film along with over 30 unique looks she designed for the ensemble. And it was a joy to have Grace design two short form projects for us at @disauthority last autumn and I can’t wait to collaborate with her on long form projects.

Grace has also become a true friend and I am looking forward to all the adventures that are waiting for us this year. 👀
