Today, my bill went into effect as Local Law 168.This law create transparency between you and your tax preparer who is now required to provide an itemized receipt disclosing all fees and charges prior to the completion of any tax return.

Local Law 168 prevents hidden fees and promotes fair business practices between tax preparers and consumers

I’m proud to have this law create transparency and accountability for all New Yorkers.

Yesterday, Mayor Mamdani released his plan to address the city’s housing crisis.

While I applaud the overall spirit of the Mayor’s plan, I must again express my concern with the plan as it relates to addressing the critical infrastructure needs of the city’s Public Housing developments.

Time and time again, residents in NYCHA have told me that they don’t support funding the RAD-PACT model at the expense of those in traditional Section 9 NYCHA housing.

I’m calling on Mayor Mamdani to listen to constituents and pause any additional funding for more RAD-PACT developments across the city.

Today I am on the scene of the aftermath from a sighted tree falling right in the middle of the service lane on Linden BLVD
as well as on the corner of Vermont Street & Wortman Avenue
We are in communication with some City Agencies so we can resolve the issue

Food insecurity continues to be a serious issue across our city.  I’m proud to partner with organizations like MUNA Social Services, and the Changing Lives Christian Center to deliver high quality food items to constituents in need.  

Last Saturday we provided food to over 100 families in our continued effort to combat food insecurity across the district.
