Hi! 96kbps is us — Kirill Ivanov @kgivanov and Stanislav Astakhov @pioneerball We’re film composers, and also musicians in the band @sbp4 This year has been especially good for us, and we’d like to share a bit about the films we’ve been fortunate to work on.
Nadia Bedj’s “Homesick” will premiere at the Tribeca Festival as part of the New York Shorts competition. Zhenya Kazankina’s “City of Owls” has been selected for the 79th Cannes Film Festival, competing in the Semaine de la Critique section. Katya Skakun’s film “Folds (Skladki)” has been selected for the International Official Competition at BAFICI.
We also wrote a piece for Sonya Rayzman’s widely loved film “Scenes of friendly ties” («Картины дружеских связей»).
We are endlessly grateful to all the directors who have trusted — and continue to trust — our somewhat unconventional approach to film scoring. It means a lot to us that there is still room in this work for shared exploration and, of course, for freedom.
Thank you so much!
You can listen to our soundtracks on the 96kbps.org website. And feel free to follow us on Instagram — why not?! 96kbps is the maximum quality we’re capable of — and that’s already quite a lot.

We are delighted and proud to share that City of Owls, a film by Zhenia Kazankina, for which we had the privilege of composing the music, will have its world premiere at the 79th Cannes Film Festival, in the short film competition of Semaine de la Critique.
We are incredibly happy and, above all, deeply grateful to Zhenia for trusting us and believing in us. For the first time in our lives, we wrote music for a real music box (which is exactly what you hear in the trailer).

Many thanks to everyone involved — and good luck to all of us!

Folds (Skladki) by Katya Skakun has been selected for the International Official Competition of BAFICI.
We were very happy to work on the soundtrack for this innovative and paradoxical film. @katya_skakun thank you! The soundtrack is already available on streaming platforms.

There is no limit to our joy: Homesick, directed by Nadia Bedj, is heading to Tribeca Festival as part of the New York Shorts program.
We had the honor of composing the music for this beautiful film.
Thank you so much @bedj for giving us the chance to be part of this amazing adventure!

Hooray! You can now listen on streaming platforms to the track “Boulevard” («Бульвар»), which we wrote for Sofya Rayzman’s film “Scenes of friendly ties” («Картины дружеских связей»). We’re happy and grateful to @sofiarayzman for the opportunity to make a small contribution to this tender and intimate film.
