🚫 Myth: “Mental health is personal – productions shouldn’t get involved.”
➡️ Reality: Mental health is everyone’s business on set. 🎬💚

Yes, mental health is personal — but the environment we work in plays a huge role in how we cope. Long hours, high pressure, and emotionally demanding work can all impact wellbeing.

✅ Productions that take mental health seriously see fewer burnouts, stronger teamwork, and better results on screen.
✅ A safe, supportive set helps everyone bring their best creativity.
✅ Wellbeing is not a “nice to have” — it’s part of good production practice.

Having Wellbeing Facilitators on set ensures crews feel supported, heard, and cared for. When productions get involved, the whole team thrives. 💪

💬 Do you think productions should play a bigger role in supporting mental health? Tell us your thoughts below! 👇

Many of you know that the story of 6ft From The Spotlight has deep roots in the filming of the Harry Potter films. On Monday 25th August, we were proud to be part of the 16th David Holmes Cricket Cup, raising money for the incredible Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (RNOH) NHS Trust. 💙

Our very own Matt Longley took part as part of team Gryffindor, sporting @6ftfrom on their shirts! Sadly this year the team lost to Slytherin...marking an 8 all draw over the 16 years!

This cause is very close to our hearts — the RNOH supported both David Holmes through their recovery from life-changing injuries. Their work changes lives, and we’re honoured to play our part in supporting them.

To find out more about RNOH and the charity match - follow our #linkinbio!

The #Bafta Award winning series The Jury - Murder Trial Season 2 is screening this week

Our team worked closely with cast and crew to ensure wellbeing stayed at the heart of production, creating a safe, supportive space while bringing such sensitive and challenging stories to life.

👏 We were delighted to provide welfare and wellbeing support for Screen Dog for this incredible project — and don’t miss The Jury, commencing this week on Channel 4.

Because when we prioritise mental health on set, we empower teams to tell their best stories. 💚

🚫 Myth: “Only cast and big names need mental health support.”
➡️ Reality: Every single person on set matters. 🎬💚

From runners to producers, sound techs to set builders — the pressures of long hours, tight deadlines, and high expectations affect everyone in the crew. Mental health challenges don’t discriminate based on job title.

✅ Healthy crew = smoother productions
✅ Support at all levels = stronger teamwork
✅ Caring for the whole set = better stories on screen

Wellbeing support isn’t a luxury for the few — it’s a necessity for the many. Everyone’s role is vital, and everyone deserves to feel safe, supported, and seen.

💬 Who’s the unsung hero on your set that you’d love to see supported more? Tag them below! 👇
