The world's wealthiest travelers no longer open Condé Nast Traveler. They open ChatGPT, Claude, or Perplexity - and book what the AI tells them.

@5wpr and @hauteblack Black just ranked the top 25 ultra-luxury summer destinations by AI citation share across all four major engines. Saint-Tropez leads at 10%. Amalfi at 8%. Mykonos at 7%.

And what's moving underneath the top three is just as telling: Comporta has more than doubled its citation share since 2023. Montenegro has tripled since 2022. Santorini is declining.

Wikipedia and Reddit together account for more than 25% of ChatGPT citations in the U.S. The WSJ, NYT, Bloomberg, and Financial Times don't even appear in the top 20.
