We are deeply grateful to All Our Relations, including our Palestinian Relatives @nidal.seattle, who showed up to close us in prayer at the 2nd Annual “Immigrant” Justice Prayer Walk. In a world shaped by colonization, displacement, borders, and repression, we came together to pray for one another and remind our communities that none of us walk alone.

Thank you to everyone who offered the sacrifice of their steps, their songs, their prayers, and their love for all those impacted by ICE, family separation, and the fear our migrant relatives carry every day. We walked for the Grandmothers and Grandfathers who are afraid to leave home for something as simple as coffee and pan dulce because they fear they may not return home safely.

On 5/16/26, we lifted our prayers to Creator together across cultures, faiths, and communities. We believe in unity across all backgrounds. We believe our struggles are intertwined. We believe Prayer, Solidarity, and Community are stronger than fear.

Thank you to every Relative who walked, Prayed, drummed, carried banners, brought water, shared food, offered rides, or simply showed up with your presence. The circle would have been smaller without you.

As we prepare for the 2nd Annual “Immigrant” Justice Prayer Walk on May 16, we invite you to bring a small bottle or jar of water from your home, your community, or a place that is sacred to you. 💧

After we cross the Ballard Locks, we will gather at Commodore Park for the Water Ceremony and release these waters into the Salish Sea together.

Water remembers.
The waters we carry will hold our prayers, our hopes, and our love for our Migrant Communities and all our Relations. As the Water returns to the Salish Sea, we pray that our Prayers travel back to Creator through every current and wave.

Whether your water comes from a kitchen sink, a river, the ocean, rainwater, or the land of your people, your offering matters.

10 years ago a scrappy but committed group of people across the PNW joined a global day of action - "Break Free from Fossil Fuels." We planned a mass mobilization in Anacortes, WA, where two oil refineries pollute stolen indigenous lands, and keep us locked into fossil fuels. At the time Shell was trying to bring more oil by train in for refining (which Shell soon dropped). We brought 2,000 people together for a mass direct action, indigenous-led march, climate conference, and water actions.

To this day, the effects of Break Free reverberate across the PNW. So many connections were made in those three days of camping and taking action together. Our commitment to protecting the lands and waters of this region is stronger than ever.
