313 Connection are pleased to announce that @dj3000official will be our special guest at @lacheetahclub on Saturday 25 April.

We’ve been looking forward to hosting him for a long time and are excited to finally make it happen.

Born Franki Juncaj and raised in Hamtramck, Michigan, DJ 3000 came into techno straight at the source. Introduced to the world of @submerge313 and the @undergroundresistance313 collective through friends in Detroit, he quickly became part of that extended family. UR co-founder Mike Banks @undergroundresistance003 famously gave Juncaj his DJ name after the collective moved their headquarters to 3000 W. Grand Boulevard - a moment that cemented his connection to the Detroit techno lineage.

While deeply rooted in the Detroit scene, DJ 3000 has spent decades touring internationally, bringing his distinct sound to clubs and festivals across the globe. His productions and DJ sets are known for blending driving Detroit techno with melodic samples and instrumentation often inspired by his Albanian heritage, creating a sound that is both unmistakably Detroit and uniquely his own.

Alongside his production work, Juncaj founded the @motechrecords label in 2002 - a platform that has developed its own identity within the global techno landscape, showcasing both his own music and a wide range of forward-thinking artists. His work has also reached a wider audience through high-profile remixes for artists such as @stgermainofficial and @depechemode - further cementing his place within the wider electronic music world.

With Glasgow’s long-standing connection to the Detroit sound, it feels only right to welcome DJ 3000 to La Cheetah, one of the city’s key spaces for underground music with a history of connecting to Detroit from the start.

Opening the night will be 313 Connection residents and founders @undercurrent313 and @kairogen , setting the tone with a warm-up rooted in Detroit influence while stretching across deeper techno, house and beyond.
Not one to miss.

First release tickets from £10. Linked in bio.

“So Sheik” from the man himself @dj3000official

With 3 killer remixes, personal favourite is the Salar Ansari remix.

Out on Bandcamp now… check link in his bio.

It was a huge honour to hand it over to Franki! Hopefully see you again soon brotha and I’ll dream of playing a b2b
The sounds of deep driving percussive music layering that roaring Detroit energy with high-paced funk action on the decks 🤯

We asked @dj3000official did your connection with @undergroundresistance313 begin and how has it evolved over the years?

More questions to follow

Interesting story behind the birth of 3000!

Glasgow Recap. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚙️

It’s always a highlight to start a Glasgow trip by seeing the family at @rubadubgla . They’ve supported @motechrecords and Detroit music since day one.

Then we took that energy straight to the @lacheetahclubbasement with the @313connection crew. The vibe was locked in from the first record until the lights came up.

Massive thanks to everyone who came out. See you on the next one.

A massive thank you to Franki @dj3000official for coming to play on our night at @lacheetahclub It was a huge success and an honour to have him on spinning trax.

Playing a full vinyl set he really uplifted the place playing a mix of new and old Detroit influenced heat. Also a big thank you and shoutout to @like_this_events and @jimmy_jammin85 for helping to make this all possible.

Thanks to all the dancers and bodies on the floor for making this a special night!

UR co-founder ‘Mad’ Mike Banks famously gave Juncaj his DJ name after the collective moved their headquarters to 3000 W.

Alongside his production work, Juncaj founded the Motech label in 2002 - a platform that has developed its own identity within the global techno landscape, showcasing both his own music and a wide range of forward-thinking artists.

His work has also reached a wider audience through high-profile remixes for artists such as St. Germain and Depeche Mode, further cementing his place within the wider electronic music world.

With Glasgow’s long-standing connection to the Detroit sound, it feels only right to welcome DJ 3000 to @lacheetahclub - one of the city’s key spaces for underground music.

Opening the night will be 313 Connection residents and founders @undercurrent313 and @kairogen setting the tone with a warm-up rooted in Detroit influence while stretching across deeper techno, house and beyond.
Not one to miss.

Tickets available to buy online in bio! See you on the floor.

@313connection are pleased to announce that @dj3000official will be our special guest at La Cheetah, Glasgow this Saturday 25 April.
We’ve been looking forward to hosting him for a long time and are excited to finally make it happen.

Born Franki Juncaj and raised in Hamtramck, Michigan, DJ 3000 came into techno straight at the source. Introduced to the world of @submerge313 and the Underground Resistance collective through friends in Detroit, he quickly became part of that extended family.

Hello hello, ahead of inviting @dj3000official on Saturday to @lacheetahclub with @313connection - I’m sharing some clips from a previous 313 warm up set! As I’ll be starting off the night I thought it’d be good to reflect back on this one from this time last year.

It’s probably one of my favourite starts to the night I’ve done, it focuses mainly on Detroit-based artists although not limited to. The aim of the night is to show our influences and those who have been influenced by the sound but still having a wider reach than that, not just all the one area of music but a spectrum of those passionate about the sounds of Detroit / Glasgow or want to hear more.

Still alway learning, still a lot to explore. If you wanna get down and deep I’m on first this Saturday before @undercurrent313 after @phazon.gla kicks off the club in early evening. Tickets in my bio with group discounts available. This will be the biggest event we’ve put on so far so would v much love to see you there 🤘💖 Link to this set will also be at the link above 🔗

Much love, Kirsten xo
