Ciphersick & 2WO OFFISHAL are a rapper and producer, both coming out of Chicago and teamed up for My Time 3. Ciphersick took some years away from the mic but has since returned in the last few years, while 2WO OFFISHALL has been grinding away and getting beat placements. The two come together here for their 3rd installment of the My Time series, a project that has slick rhymes and dope beats!

At 20 minutes there’s no room or time to mess around and these two don’t hesitate. Right from the Intro things get dark with the beat as Ciphersick gives a quick verse but one that makes an impact for the beginning of the project. Judas follows it up and is a good balance between lurking and uplifting with the strings echoing. In The Bank, Trap Tales and Is You Serious were all also very good songs and maintained an ominous vibe, but bounced.

Short Story, Coming Down, Realest Alive and Hell Of A Life, the single with Brother Tom Sos, all have a more uplifting feeling. These are good songs, but not ones that stuck with me as much as the songs with more ominous production. And I’ll never turn down hearing a Vic Spencer feature. Not only is that for sure more my style, but I also just thought Ciphersick sounded best over that style. My favorite songs on this project are Intro, Judas, In The Bank and Is You Serious being my top track.

This was a enjoyable project and makes me want to keep up with both of these artists. Ciphersick has some dope bars and when on production I like, he clicks even more. And 2WO OFFISHALL made some good beats here, different tones and variety which I appreciate. We will see if there’s going to be a My Time 4 or if this is the end. If so hopefully this duo continues together on something new.
