I’m so proud to announce that my recording of Chapter 137, live from the Heaven Room in Quixote, is out now.

When @quixotemezcal first opened, I was absolutely mesmerized by the space. The attention to detail, how dark it was in there. I had heard the space was built from pieces of abandoned churches in Oaxaca. The tables and chairs reminded me of the church pews I would sit in every Sunday as a child. The place is absolutely beautiful, and it’s so dark that the candles seem to be the main source of light.

But off to the corner, before you reach the Lafayette hallway there’s a room. I was immediately drawn to a bright, soft, warm light that invited you up its stairs into the Heaven Room in all its glory. The one space in the restaurant that had the most light. With the Virgin Mary placed right in the middle with her open arms.

I knew from the first time I saw it years ago, that I had to record my radio show there. I had to curate the sounds I would have wanted to hear in there.

Recording @sashamarieradio in there was everything I could have imagined and more. I recorded this on March 10th, which would have been my pops 77th birthday. I was surrounded by my close friends and family. It was perfect and so intentional.

I want to especially thank @mj_withthemagic for making this happen. She connected all of the dots and facilitated this whole project from beginning to end, and I’m eternally grateful for her. I also want to thank @uh.leeseeuh and Amanda, Quixote, and the @thelafayette for making this recording possible.

I hope you all enjoy this journey through sound, set in one of my favorite places in San Diego.

Since the late 90s, he’s been throwing parties, running club nights, and hosting internet shows, all while building a vinyl collection spanning countless genres. These days, Jeff keeps his studio sets rooted in bass music, with enough genre-shifting to keep things unpredictable.

Honing his skills as a vinyl DJ specializing in progressive house as a resident of Hollywood’s LP Vinyl Bar, this mix gives him a chance to come home to his first love, jungle and DnB.
