A new exhibition by Aruzhan Zhumabek opens at Dump Gallery. The project is built around a single work.

Aruzhan does not title her works — for her, it is important not to direct the viewer through words. Therefore, Untitled here is a conscious choice rather than the absence of a title.

At the center of the exhibition is a large textile piece that brings together the main techniques Aruzhan has worked with in recent years: drawing, embroidery, and working with fabric. It is a cohesive work in which different stages of her practice come together.

Aruzhan’s practice is grounded in process — prolonged, repetitive, and physical. Repetitive gestures, attention to surface, and the tactility of materials shape not only the image but also the mode of experiencing it. The work holds time within itself — the hours spent in focused action.

The format of a single work makes this process especially visible. There is no series — all attention is focused on one object that requires time and a calm, attentive gaze.

This is Aruzhan’s third exhibition at Dump Gallery and a continuation of nearly three years of collaboration. This work clearly reflects how her practice has evolved and where it stands today.

Exhibition will be available from 30th of April till 26th of May

Азиз достлар! Приглашаем вас на презентацию книги и памятный вечер «Муаллим: беседы с Шамшадом Абдуллаевым».

Шамшад Маджитович Абдуллаев (1957-2024) — узбекский русскоязычный поэт, писатель и эссеист родом из Ферганы. «Основатель» т.н. Ферганской поэтической школы. Один из важнейших «русофонных» поэтов, то есть, поэтов, писавших по-русски, но по-русски так, будто бы его выдумали не на холодном севере, а в жаркой глуши ферганской долины, где на одной улице могут жить крымские татары из Бахчисарая и турки-месхетинцы из Грузии.

На вечере, помимо презентации книги, прочтут стихи Шамшада, а также его друзья и коллеги расскажут о том, почему он был так важен для нас и, возможно, для всех, кто пишет и читает на этом языке.

Приглашаем вас на воркшоп по creative coding в TouchDesigner — программе для создания генеративной графики, интерактивных визуализаций и мультимедийных инсталляций.

На воркшопе вы разберётесь с принципами работы TouchDesigner, освоите работу с генеративной графикой и создадите свой собственный интерактивный проект с помощью плагина MediaPipe для обработки жестов в реальном времени.

Ведущий мастер-класса — Кирилл Хабитуев, медиахудожник и разработчик интерактивных медиа.

🔹Подходит для художников, дизайнеров, музыкантов, исследователей и всех, кто хочет изучить creative coding.
🔹 Предварительный опыт не требуется, нужен только ноутбук.

Первая персональная выставка очень молодого художника Arlo Babenko @errorinspace .

Эти работы про соотношение личного и обезличенного.
Работая с собственным телом, художник изображает себя, но в этом процессе происходит смещение: человек начинает смотреть на себя со стороны и становится для самого себя объектом.
Это движение от «я» к «объекту» делает изображение менее личным, несмотря на то, что его основой остаётся собственный опыт.

Nothing Personal фиксирует это состояние, когда личное присутствует, но больше не принадлежит только одному человеку.
