Sustainability wasn’t a side conversation at Set & Scene 2026 — it was part of the scene.

Across film, theatre, live events and immersive design, we saw a real shift in how people are thinking about materials, reuse and responsibility. From circular set construction to low-impact scenic solutions, the conversations were practical, honest and focused on real change.

A real highlight was the @jmss_ltd and @macfarlanepkg cardboard build tour, showing how large-scale scenic construction can move towards more circular, reusable systems in practice.

We also saw a brilliant collaboration between @cineco.co and @vectarsetsuk Sets, presenting a side-by-side comparison of traditional set building and engineered paper construction — a powerful example of how innovation and tradition can work together to reduce impact without compromising craft.

In addition, a powerful session from @camaassetstore and @used.creative Creative explored how asset reuse is reshaping production workflows and reducing waste across the industry. @restage_org and AssetFlow discussed cross sector zero waste initiatives and how asset tracking is a crucial element.

The @nationaltheatre Dye Garden interactive demo gave attendees a hands-on look at natural dye processes, connecting sustainability directly with craft, costume and scenic design.

What stood out most was the collaboration. Designers, makers and suppliers came together to share what is actually working on the ground — not theory, but real workflows and real solutions.

This is what a sustainable scene looks like.

Thank you to everyone driving change across the creative industries. This is only the beginning.

FREE SupaLista.ai listing pilot launching today! ⚡

We’ve spent years watching incredible sets get skipped and props head to landfill, not because people don’t care, but because listing takes time nobody has.

So we built Supalista.ai, an AI listing tool that cuts listing time by 90%.

Today at @setandsceneshow we’re launching a free pilot to put it through its paces.

If you’ve got a backlog of sets, props, furniture or creative assets, studios, production companies, set builders, art departments, we’ll list everything on USED Creative for you for resale, set up your account, and get your inventory in front of buyers.

No cost. No faff.

This is what the circular creative economy looks like in practice: making it easier to sell than to skip.

Come see us at our stand or if you're not at the show, drop a comment or DM to register your interest and we’ll be in touch!

And that’s a wrap on an epic week partnering with the World Experience Organisation at London Experience Week. It truly was one of the most insightful and jaw droppingly brilliant summits, where conversations from global experience leaders pushed boundaries and broke new ground.

Thanks to James, Mike and Ed for a fantastic summit and experience. 💫

We can’t wait for next year!

In the picture - astonishing visuals and audio by @maxcoopermax and @factoryfifteen - The Shape of Memory was first launched at the Royal Albert Hall. (NB not original audio on this post)

Tonight, Jo and I are on stage at Climate Tech Time – talking about the £4.6 billion blind spot hiding in plain sight across film, TV, theatre, retail and events.

Sets, props & furnishings – used once, then usually binned – 200,000 tonnes a year in London alone.

We built USED CREATIVE to fix that. And this week we’re launching SupaLista.ai – our AI listing tool that tackles the biggest barrier to circularity in the creative industries – time!

Come find us at The Conduit tonight

@joko_ono_o - can’t wait 🙌

We're super proud to be partnering with @worldxo_org for the 2026 London Experience Week.

Jason Bruges Studio's beautiful Mirror Mirror, welcomes delegates to the WXO Summit at the might Ministry of Sound...

Originally commissioned by the V&A in partnership with SA Mirror, Mirror was featured in the Decode: Digital Design Sensation exhibition at the John Madejski Garden from 8 December until 11 April 2010.

The media artwork explored the concept of narcissism, people’s relationship with each other and with their surrounding environment.

For WXO London Experience Week, Jason Bruges Studio seeks to explore how the artwork’s totems can be recycled as part of the practice’s mission to creatively reuse their catalogue.

This piece and all appearing at the London Experience week are available to buy from Used Creative. 💫

The age of single-use production is ending.

Across film, theatre, and live events, a new creative economy is emerging — one built on sharing, reusing, and reimagining the physical materials that bring stories to life.

This panel explores how circular systems are transforming production practice, enabling props, sets, and costumes to move fluidly between screen, stage, immersive experiences, and beyond.

From asset tracking technology to creative reuse networks, the conversation focuses on practical systems that make sustainability workable at scale — not as an ideal, but as everyday infrastructure.

Featuring pioneering teams driving this shift:

Michaele and Michelle (Founders of CAMA AssetStore), discuss their systems for tracking, managing, and reusing production assets across projects.

Tin and Jo, founders of USED Creative, exploring creative reuse and upcycling across production, events, theatre, and exhibitions.

Moderated by Blair Barnette, Production Designer and Circular Economy Champion.

Sustainable Design and Emerging Technology Content Strands sponsored by Amazon MGM Studios.

Central Saint Martins | Saturday 25 April 2026

The age of single-use production is ending.

Across film, theatre, and live events, a new creative economy is emerging — one built on sharing, reusing, and reimagining the physical materials that bring stories to life.

This panel explores how circular systems are transforming production practice, enabling props, sets, and costumes to move fluidly between screen, stage, immersive experiences, and beyond.

From asset tracking technology to creative reuse networks, the conversation focuses on practical systems that make sustainability workable at scale — not as an ideal, but as everyday infrastructure.
