The Garden of Earthly Delights, Hieronymus Bosch, 1490-1500

I was 9 years old the first time I went to Madrid. I don’t remember much about the trip itself, apart from two things: the Warner Bros. amusement park and The Garden of Earthly Delights at the Museo del Prado. I was completely taken with it. So much so that it remains my favourite work of art to this day.

Beyond the depth of the colours, the somehow harmonious chaos, and the artist’s extraordinary imagination, there is one thing in particular that, for me, sets it apart from everything else — and it’s the main reason I love it so much: I always find something new that I hadn’t noticed before.

I guess that’s part of what drives me to do what I do. Or at least, it’s the kind of design I aspire to do: design that has layers. That, if you look closely enough, reveals something you hadn’t seen or understood from a distance.

Today, I want to share five women who, in very different ways, shape how I work and my perspective as a creative. Each of them reminds me that creation isn’t just technique—it’s presence, curiosity, and storytelling.

I’d love to know who inspires you 💜

I realized that I’ve never properly introduced myself, and since I’m starting a new chapter and some of you don’t really know me yet, here’s a bit about who I am.
I know reading takes time and patience, so if you don’t read this, that’s totally fine too. Thanks for stopping by ✨

Hi! I’m Sofía, an art director and graphic designer.
When I was 15, I wanted to be a photographer and my hobby was planning shoots to do with my friends. At 17, I realized I loved graphic and editorial design. At 18, I started my degree, discovered creative and art direction, and knew that was my path.

I’m Latina — born in Argentina, raised in Venezuela — so if you work with me, you’ll probably see me dancing or singing. I can’t help it.
Don’t expect me to talk nonstop though; I’m more of a listener. I observe, I collect moments, and I let ideas settle. Writing is a huge part of my creative process — to shape concepts, give direction, and turn intuition into something tangible.

I believe in collaboration and I love working with other creatives. On set, I don’t always sit with the executives — I like talking to everyone, mixing with people from different roles, and understanding every part of the production. I think everyone has something to teach me, and I’m always hungry to learn. I don’t tolerate disrespect or arrogance.

I love music — it’s my biggest passion — that’s why I play the guitar and sing. I’ve always wanted to sing in a band, but I don’t really like being the center of attention, so I do it just for my dog, who happens to be my most loyal fan.

I don’t mind being vulnerable; I cry when my body asks for it. I don’t get stressed easily — I believe everything has a solution, and that most of the time, we’re the ones who create our own complications and obstacles.

So this is me, in a few lines.
If you’ve made it this far, thanks — truly. ❤️
