Pt. 1 of a super life giving personal project
This one felt amazing. Really leaning into creating a piece that was 100% me. I’d purely just thought about what I wanted to d create instead of trying to envision something that someone else might like to see.
I’m super stoked to approach a few more upcoming projects like this and see how they turn out!

Grateful
Early on, @yellowrunner mentioned how she was just so grateful to be able to be at the starting line of the Cocodona 250. She had goals for her race, but her overwhelming disposition was one of gratitude. For over a year she was riddled with multiple injuries, surgeries, and unexpected health scares. Her journey as a professional athlete was set back in ways that were totally unknown to her, that left her with more questions than answers.
Sally didn’t have the race she set out for at Cocodona. Her time on course was one that was relatable to everyone, not just professional athletes. She ran with vulnerability and pain, persevering through circumstances and situations that ultimately didn’t produce the results that she hoped for. She problem solved and pushed herself past the point of where she wanted to be, just to finish. Her results didn’t display the numbers that she wanted, but she finished.
Her performance may not have been what she hoped for but it spoke volumes to her ethos - “Choose Strong.” Seeing her fight through her setbacks, despite not being able to achieve her desired outcome and with the demeanor with which she did it, was something I will never forget. During those 4 days I witnessed her love others well, love her kids well, make time for others for countless photos ops, and so many other intangibles that aren’t shown alongside the finish time at the end of a race. She raced in a way that many others can’t. She made others’ races better and made them feel loved. She raced well.
It was a ton of fun chasing Sally around in the Arizona desert. It was an experience I’ll forever be grateful for and will look back on fondly. There will be way more to come, but here are a few that highlight her journey.
So awesome to be able to get to work with @ethanjsphotography & thank you to the the amazing @alyssarose_l

I’m just a due out here tryin
I had a fun time cooking up this little personal project. Super moody and just leaning into the vibe of the whole thing. Experimenting a ton with video and trying to stretch myself creatively into a new realm. There’s a ton to learn but it was a good time
Thanks for playin along @alexmjayne

Dipping my toes into filming for the first time and it’s a wild mix of “this is the coolest thing ever” and “what the world am I doing?!”
First edit, first attempt at making something that actually feels like it has substance… mostly just yeeting spaghetti at the wall and praying something sticks. Trying to make folks feel a way, and to share running in a different way
Massive thanks to my absolute homie @alexmjayne for running around in 30-degree weather like a champ just so I could get the shots, and to my wonderful girlfriend @alyssarose_l for making everything that much easier

@jimmyelam crossing the finish line and taking 1st at @themammoth200. Jimmy put on a clinic for the inaugural race of The Mammoth. Run it back next year!!!

Shapiro the freaking Hero!!!
@shapirothehero let me come capture his first ever 200+ mile race, the inaugural @themammoth200 … He absolutely crushed it.
Watching Matt out there was unreal. His effort, his mindset, the quiet grind between aid stations was so inspiring. Chasing someone through the Sierra for 200 miles might not be everyone’s idea of fun, but as an aspiring trail runner, it was something super special to capture.
This is just a small glimpse of what’s to come, but I had to share a few frames from an unforgettable few days.
@shapirothehero thanks for letting @alyssarose_l and me be part of it.
And @dougydo & @shellyredtail it was a blast meeting you guys, and thanks for letting us chase your dude around the mountains for a couple days with you 😆
(Also, he ran the whole race in 1 pair of @mounttocoast H1’s, so insane!)
