Discover “Reactive Lines” an activation by commissioned by Polestar for its showroom during Zurich Design Week. 

Created through creative programming, the project builds on the brand’s “Motion Blur” campaign, transforming it into a dynamic, interactive experience. Stretched, blurred lines of color evoke motion, speed, and perception, forming a clean, kinetic language that engages both the eye and the body.
Using code, Motion Blur campaign images were imported into custom scripts, their color analysed, and transformed into new animated artistic compositions. These were then exported for video, print, and interactive formats, ensuring a cohesive aesthetic across the entire space.

The sleek, elegant interface is based on a dotted grid that recalls both the magazine’s grid and the perforations in the film, offering a flexible structure in which the elements hang together without ever becoming fixed.

The layout plays on rhythm to highlight the text of the articles and their associated content: images and documents appear either in reduced format in the left margin to accompany the text, or in larger format between paragraphs to enliven the reading experience. They can be accessed in full screen mode thanks to an integrated viewer. An instant preview of footnotes is available on hovering over the page, while maintaining classic consultation at the end of the article.

The Archive Notes section highlights the various activities of the Cinémathèque suisse. A page dedicated to authors offers an alternative gateway to the magazine’s articles, with a biography of each contributor and direct access to their publications.
Multilingual management is sophisticated: the interface is available in three languages, but each article remains in its original language, with simplified filtering.
Designed as a flexible tool, the interface developed for the Cinémathèque suisse facilitates content integration. Authors directly import their text styles, which are automatically recreated in the CMS. Images, documents and videos are easily inserted.

Its name, Repérages, evokes the film by Michel Soutter (1977).

Repérages is an online journal for the Cinémathèque suisse @cinemathequesuisse exploring the history of Swiss cinema through thematic analyses and archives, aimed at researchers as well as the general public.
