I am so happy with how well my little film has done. It was an absolute joy to work on and a part of me really misses having a big ol’ project to sink my teeth into between work.

Another part of me is so effing glad it’s done! The animation was for sure the fun part, but the self promotion and applying it to the festivals was difficult. REALLY difficult. The marketing side of things really doesn’t come naturally to me and it’s been a struggle at times. The worst part has been trying to go to the festivals only to have life get in the way. Every time I couldn’t physically attend one it hurt!

@katiejeffs and @conthom - one last huge thank you to you both! I’m sure everyone’s sick of my saying this, but it’s a fact that this film wouldn’t even exist if you didn’t share your story with me. Everyone has absolutely loved hearing your voicemail and it’s made a lot of people laugh. Hell, I still laugh hearing it and I must’ve heard it like 1000 times at this point! Genuinely, thank you so much 🥰

@aliguzzodrawings and @hedmukk were the extra bit of muscle I needed to clean up the last few shots. I was getting to a point where I wanted to fling myself out the window with how long it was all taking and you guys really saved me, thank you! 💪

@tom.mathieson saved the day many times whilst compiling everything together at the very end. You managed to make the final comp for Voicemail look amazing and I appreciate it so much! I couldn’t have finished Voicemail without you ❤️

Finally, a huge thank you to all the festivals that selected Voicemail to be part of your wonderful screenings! I met a lot of great animation folk along the way and have a whole new admiration for those who bring these festivals to life and keep the community thriving. It’s really not gone amiss during the current climate - they’ve given us platforms and connected us which is so important! Thank you so so much 🙏

Right, I’m bored of saying it, you’re bored of hearing it, but I really appreciate everyone who’s supported Voicemail. Making people laugh at live screenings has truly been an incredible experience.

If you want to see how this nail-biting, suspense-building story ends be sure to stay tune for the launch on the 20th of May at 11am. It's not for the faint of heart so bring your inhaler! I probably wouldn't show the kids either, but y'know, each to their own.

We're very excited to finally be able to share the film publically. I massively appreciate everyone's support and patience. I've been itchin' to get to this stage for a long time and wouldn't have got anywhere near to this point without the crew!

I've put together a reel of my favourite shots I cleaned up on @lupusfilms Kensuke's Kingdom. Another bittersweet film by Lupus based on the well known children's book. It was great to work on another project which really pushed all artists involved. I learnt a lot on working on this film. I hope I can play a small part on another like it soon!
I've used music from the films score, beautifully composed by @stuarthancockcomposer

It's actually nearly finished it's run around the festival circuit so it'll be available to watch on youtube before the end of the year.

Many thanks to all the festivals who included it in their line up, it's truly been an honour to be involved at such events. It's been utterly otherworldly to have it on the big screen and make strangers laugh!

In this edgy animated comedy, Kate and Connor are at the end of a wild night out. Kate catches the eye of a sexy man and Connor, the ultimate wingman, is by her side. The explicit voicemail that Kate leaves for her friend illustrates why the most ridiculous situations can lead to the best stories. "Voicemail" was created using a real voice recording and brought to life with hand drawn animation.

My favourite shots I cleaned up after the rough animation for "Mog's Christmas” at @lupusfilms released on @channel4 in 2023.

This was another really sweet film that really added warmth to channel 4's Christmas that year. The stripes were a freakin' nightmare though, gotta say!

The song was created especially for Mog and performed by @sophieellisbextor and lived rent free in my head for the duration of working on this project 🎶

I've finally had time to put together a little reel of my favourite shots I worked on for @peterandthewolf 🖤

It truly was a joy to be a clean up artist on this special short film, @blinkindustriesdid a great job producing it. The animators and clean up crew were top tier and the final comp looked incredible.

I had to use a track by @u2 seeing as it was Bono's original paintings that inspired the style of the project.

Hopefully there will be more animation like this out there soon!
