I'm very proud of this last glaze experiment! I had an idea but most of the time what comes out of the kiln is not really what you had in mind: it might surprise you but not often in the way you were expecting it. This one, not only is very close of what was visualising, it's even better! There's still some part to work on but the 'bird-view of the sea side' is totally what I was going for ^^.
And it's food safe!
Btw I'm not making my own glazes: this is a mix of Botz and Mayco glazes.

I recently made this compass rose tile with 2 different clays (white and red). im planning to keep it simple and not use any glaze on top of it.
One day it will be cooked, hopefully it won't warp.

Another ceramic I made in 2023, this was the first time I used white clay.
I went for a Japanese teacup style and an 'iceberg' texture which I try to follow with light blue engobe.

Another ceramic that I had happily finished in 2023 is this climbing mug: the handle is to strength the fingers' muscles and the body-hold of the mug is to improve your grip. Apparently with a nice hot drink inside it becomes quiet a challenge holding it from the handle so, I'm guessing my workout plan worked! 💪
If you remember I shared this in its rough state without the glazing.
What do you think? Especially to my climbers friends out there, would you like something like this?
