“Going back to my heritage, I come from family of farmers on both sides of my family. Fashion, in a way, has never been something of a luxury or that my families have had a relationship with. What I absolutely love, what I find freedom in wearing, and what makes me feel at home, are simple jeans. I love to wear a pair of @wrangler jeans literally anywhere I go.”
“My dad used to wear this Volkswagen watch from the early 1990’s, and I fell in love with it as a child. I’d said, ‘Can I have this? And he said, ‘Sure’. I found it again, about two weeks ago; it was locked in a drawer in my parents’ house. I took it to a repair shop and now I’ve been wearing it absolutely every day. I think it’s so powerful to wear something that has history.“
“I’m falling in love with sunscreen. Sunscreen is something that I’d never really paid attention to. Now, especially since living in LA where it’s more sunny, I’ve valued how well my skin looks because I’m protecting it. Being into sunscreen is also a reflection of wanting to take care of myself. It’s a simple thing that goes such a long way. I use sunscreen by @beautyofjoseon_official.”
“Nothing is truly a time machine quite like smell or scent. Our sense of smell is so potent. One of my favorite colognes is Orféon by @diptyque”.
“ I’ve been obsessed with luggage. I just bought some new luggage by @monostravel. I invested my money on aluminum, you know, for safety... but also to look cute.”
“I’m realizing that everything comes with a lot of restrictions. We grow up in a society which tells us to hold everything back. As a man from Brazil, you’re told not to cry, or that you have to have a deep voice. What I do, what I wear, what I cook or drink or listen to or watch...is a reflection of me, and I want it all to be as true to me as possible. When I think of lifestyle and what I love, it’s that I want to find my freedom in everything.”
