Well I did something that made me feel like, damn I really just did that, 3 weeks ago.. talk about going from a high to a low. I know my dad is proud of me though and I’m pretty proud of myself for pushing myself like I did for this. I’ve wanted to do a vintage bike race the last few years and so I made it a goal this time last year to get to the Biltwell 100 for the 2026 race. First was finding a bike since I wanted to race a vintage class but didn’t have a proper vintage bike for it. We ended up finding this 1985 Honda XL250r in pretty great condition, I’m no mechanic but my partner took the motor apart and got her all tuned up for me. The motor work actually didn’t get done until the day we left so I wasn’t able to put any time on this bike before racing, which was a little nerve racking but just a few idle and choke adjustments once I got on the line and out there and she ran great! Road a pretty tough terrain, some really deep sand and rain ruts but made it the entire 75 miles which was my only goal so ending up 2nd in my class was just a cherry on top. I felt so much love and support from my people, every lap they brought my energy back up and truly made it so fun! First time racing on the course with @benlamay (different classes obviously) so that was fun and doing it with my girl @baileyyyyjo made it that much more special! Big credit to @baileyyyyjo for taking me to ride terrain much harder than this to train, it made these hills a walk in the park. And a big thank you to @revit_denver and @vahna.moto for the support and for hooking it up with a fresh kit and comfy race attire. 🏁

My dad was a great man, his life wasn’t easy growing up and he broke cycles and showed love to my siblings and I that he was never shown from his father. I never would’ve thought when we had a moment of difference I would lose him, you think you have more time with people to work through those kind of moments but you’re never promised tomorrow and if I could go back and change things I would. Even though I know we all knew the love never changed and it was just a moment that wouldn’t last for long. As the oldest sibling I just wanted my dad to be the healthiest he could be because I wanted him around for as long as possible and I think some things were just unrealistic expectations I put on him out of worry. My dad gave his family more than he ever had, I saw time and time again as I got older what fueled my dads hard work, it was providing for his family and creating all the good moments we all remember now. When I think of all the times my dad took me fishing, being goofy, riding 4wheelers, going to see my grandma Margie and aunt Linda.. driving down all these roads I went down all my life bring back all the memories.. as an adult navigating my own life, each year I’ve realized just how young my parents were when they had me and how far they came and how hard they worked. Without his hard work I never would’ve been able to do everything I’ve done in life and I know he admired my free spirit as much as it annoyed him because it kept me away.. my dad was an artist at heart, someone who let his emotions be felt and expressed and I know I took after him a lot in ways. I will live my life to the fullest for him. I have always been proud of my dad and to be his daughter and we’ll make sure my sisters daughter and any grandkids will know just how amazing he was. Growing up everyone always said I looked like my Dad and it’s all I can look for when I look in the mirror now. Life will never be the same..

Hi, it’s me. Life’s had some unimaginable changes lately but I’m still behind the camera and grateful for the consistencies in my life. The art, my clients that allow me to work doing something I love, my partner, my friends that let me be imperfect and still love and support me! Times are crazy and we’re all learning to hold on to what makes us happy while also processing the state of the world. Everything we do requires intention for the change we need. I hope everyone has a great week and that I can create with some of you or document precious moments of your life! ✨

A poem by Wendell Berry-

When despair for the world grows in me
and I wake in the night at the least sound
in fear of what my life and my children’s lives may be,
I go and lie down where the wood drake
rests in his beauty on the water, and the great heron feeds.
I come into the peace of wild things
who do not tax their lives with forethought
of grief. I come into the presence of still water.
And I feel above me the day-blind stars
waiting with their light. For a time
I rest in the grace of the world, and am free.
