Mediated Encounters (Mise-en-scène)
Solo show by Yana Abrasheva

Opening: 11 June | 7.00 PM
Opening hours: every day: 3.00 – 7.00 PM

Fragmented façades, suspended structures, and fabricated spaces. Mediated Encounters explores the unstable boundary between reality and representation through scenography, architecture, and illusion. Drawing from the decay of modernist architecture and the phenomenon of facadism in Sofia and across Bulgaria, Yana Abrasheva @sheitan666_ reimagines buildings as hollow stage sets — preserved surfaces masking fabricated realities beneath. The video work in the exhibition is created in collaboration with Lazar Ivanov. @vysduh
“We are an empire, and when we act, we create our own reality.”

Odyssea: Le sel de la terre
12.03-09.05-2026
a collaboration between Spiaggia Libera @spiaggialibera.gallery and PUNTA Gallery
Curated by: Sacha Guedj Cohen @sachagdj, Camille Velluet @camillevelluet, Boyana Dzhikova @cherechair
Artists: Nina Boughanim @nina.boughanim, Elvire Ménétrier @elvirelacrimosa, Marilou Poncin @marilouponcin, Valentin Vert @valvert_, Petja Ivanova @poetic_futures_, Todor Rabadzhiyski @todorrab
Opening 12.03.2026, Thursday, at 6 pm.
After a phantasmagorical journey from the ocean depths to the surface of the earth, from the mythical fish-woman to a contemporary emancipated figure
during the show presented at Buna festival, Varna @buna.varna «Odyssea – The Song of the Sirens» – a nebulous, post-capitalist world now emerges, inhabited by creatures seeking change. «The Salt of the Earth» thus proposes exploring a different space-time, one that is hard to place in a linear history and resembles a narrative of anticipation. Salt, known for its corrosive and purifying properties, materializes
here as piles of charred debris within which the artists’ works unfold.
Funded under the project National Recovery and Resilience Plan - NextGenerationEU, Component “Social Inclusion,” Investment 6: “Development of the Cultural and Creative Sectors.”
graphic design: Yana Abrasheva @sheitan666_

Madame Carle managed the bakery on l’Hubac street and her father, the master baker, made the bread in a nearby premises. Madame Carle’s shop was special - the bread it sold was not at all meant for everyone but only for those its manager deemed fit. It would be completely plausible that a random visitor would come in and Madame Carle would say “We are out of bread.”, which would not at all be true, but if said client wasn’t in her list, they would leave empty-handed. “I knew her, she never sold me bread, she sold only to my husband as he was in the communist party” or “She sold to my entire family except for me” were lines we often heard around the exhibition period. Namely because they were “out of bread”, the bakery had no bread on display, only a few packages of crackers that served as decoration for the vitrine. The bread itself was tucked away in a room in the back, far from the eyes of passers-by.
The exhibition is financed through the “Market of Desire: Creating and exhibiting Bulgarian cultural production at the Cairn Art Centre (Digne-les-Bains) and PUNTA Gallery (Sofia)” project, funded under contract № BG-RRP-11.020-0224-C01 from 01.08.2025, “Two-session grant scheme “Creation of Bulgarian productions and co-productions in the CCI sector and their promotion on the European and international art markets”.

We are pleased to announce Reverberations of the Unseen, a curatorial project by @vvvladimirovv
The project explores smell as a medium in contemporary art and as a way to access memory, affect, and experiences that remain unseen or unspoken. Challenging the visual dominance of art institutions, the project foregrounds olfaction’s ability to bypass language and images, creating embodied and inclusive forms of knowledge. Rather than presenting smell within a fixed exhibition format, the project unfolds through ephemeral, pop-up activations that mirror the fleeting, unpredictable nature of scent itself.
