CHOOSE returns for a special one-off event this week with the phenomenal NASTIA joining our lineup of the world's finest techno in Hakuba. With a true career as DJ rather than producer, the Ukrainian has built a following since the early 2000's gaining respect and reputation across genres. She has been influential as promoter, Strichka festival organser, label head of Propaganda and Nechto Records and activism beyond the musical realm with her True Talk projects. Nastia will perform a DnB set the preceding night (4th May) at Samurai in Hakuba's Echoland, but CHOOSE continues its mandate with a unique opportunity to experience techno artists of this calibre up close and personal in the intimate space of Concrete.

CHOOSE wraps up its weekly winter schedule with a bang in the form of Room Trax founder ANGIOMA and his fusion of hypnotic structures with driving, percussive techno.
Originally from Spain, ANGIOMA co-runs the Room Trax label and event series with partner, BLANKA, moving his base from Barcelona to Berlin in 2020. His sound is characterized by a relentless, high-energy groove, with releases on labels like Soma, Animal Farm, and Anaoh.

So far CHOOSE has been truly unique opportunity to see artists of this calibre up close and personal in the intimate space of Concrete, and so we're pleased to add continuing occasional dates over the summer to this incredible lineup of artists.

Valentin Ginies is a passionate and multifaceted artist based in Berlin, whose creative journey is deeply rooted in a lifelong dedication to music. A journey which has seen him play piano and drums before switching to a full hardware setup & taking to the decks at a young age.

Valentin is the founder of 11001 Records, a Berlin-based record label dedicated to techno, ambient, experimental and other forms of abstract visions. He’s also released an album on Bahn Records and releases on Circular Limited and Node Recordings. He’s also the co-founder of the Teufelsberg Domecast, an ambient experimental podcast & release series with a unique sound installation focusing on live performances played in the Dots Gallery and sent to the dome’s natural reverb acoustic at the top of the main building. This project has hosted artists like Dasha Rush, Tobias., Max Loderbauer, Robert Henke, and Hoshiko Yamane, and collaborations with Berlin's UdK.

Valentin is also the founder of Third Eye Festival, a psychedelic techno festival near Berlin, which has hosted artists such as Dasha Rush, Rrose, Wata Igarashi, Tobias., and DJ Maria. In addition, he curates ORBIT, a Berlin party that showcases the deeper side of techno, featuring names like Marco Shuttle, Denise Rabe, and YSK. These gatherings have organically connected a like minded community for the more psychedelic side of Techno in Berlin for those who share a passion for innovative soundscapes and artistic exploration. Keep an ear out for everything coming in the bright future.

After studying art and fashion in England and France, DANDAN moved to Japan, where she discovered the underground techno scene. Originally from Tianjin, China, she honed her aesthetic sensibilities studying Art & Fashion in England and France before finding her spiritual home in Japan's underground party scene. It was there that techno took hold, and DANDAN the DJ was born.
From the intimate underground clubs of Tokyo to massive stages like OZORA Festival and Texas Eclipse Festival, her dynamic sets have ignited crowds across Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Australia, Thailand, USA and Europe. DANDAN is a rising force in the Japanese techno scene and is constantly seeking new frontiers to transform the dancefloors into her domain.

This week's best choice is SYNISTER, the techno avatar of acclaimed psytrance artist BRAINDROP. One of India's and the genres most versatile and revered artists, he launched this project in 2013 to express his versatility in the world of contemporary techno.
The driving force behind Occultech Recordings, the Synister sound is a complex concoction. Techno that has a touch of minimal, dark, atmospheric and hypnotic with driving elements that resonate on the dancefloor.
