The Thai Labour Museum is crowdfunding for its major renovation work. Due to the dilapidated state of its building the Museum is needing to complete its major repairs programme this year. The Museum plans to revamp its exhibition content as this has work has not been done since its founding over three decades ago.

If you appreciate the importance of sustaining the Museum’s presence into the future, please consider supporting this initiative. All contributions, no matter how small, do make a difference.

Founded in 1993 by a coalition of labour activists, academics, and unionists as Thailand’s first workers’ museum, the Thai Labour Museum is a living archive of histories of organising and collective struggles that have long been marginalised.

Having witnessed significant shifts within the Thai art world during its near-decade-long run, Bangkok’s film and performance triennale, Ghost (@ghost2568ghost), has reached its third and final iteration. Yet, for Ghost, the measure of life well-lived seems not to be longevity, but legacy; the echoes that persist.

Curated by Amal Khalaf (@amalandaplan), the last edition was a love letter to spaces and ways of life sacrificed to progress and profit, signed “Ghost 2568: Wish We Were Here”—giving voice to the absences, losses, and forgotten histories upon which Bangkok is built.
