As part of the 1909 Subi East creative journey, students from Bob Hawke College joined artists Kyle Hughes-Odgers and Chris Nixon for a special Walking Art Tour. 👟🖌️

This hands-on experience gave students a behind-the-scenes look at how public art transforms spaces, making them more welcoming, meaningful, and memorable. 🌈

The tour is just one way we’re connecting young people with real-world creative opportunities, building skills and confidence while celebrating Subiaco’s vibrant community spirit. 🤝💡

Each artwork tells a unique story — from the legacy of resistance fighter Fanny Balbuk to the maternal spirit that connects generations through Country.

The Build-to-Rent apartment development is progressing with:
•Level 2 structural timber installed
•Internal wall construction commenced
•Electrical and plumbing pre-lays commenced

Our historic Midland Railway Workshop precinct was buzzing with energy when the Vintage Motor Cycle club of WAhosted their Old Iron Vintage & Classic Motorcycle Show and Swap Meet last month.

With over 1,500 attendees, 150+ classic motorbikes, 50 vendors, and fascinating displays of hand tools and machinery preservation, it proved an extraordinary day out for motor enthusiasts.

And our Midland Railway Workshop precinct couldn’t have been more fitting location to host the vintage event. Established in the 1900’s as a bustling railway yard, the remaining cluster of late 19th century heritage listed buildings are now being redeveloped for commercial and residential opportunities to transform the area into a live-work-play destination.

Since 2000, we have been delivering an exciting urban renewal program across approximately 160 hectares in Midland to help deliver high-volume transit links, thousands of new homes, and vibrant retail and commercial areas.

And our Midland Railway Workshop precinct couldn’t have been more fitting location to host the vintage event. Established in the 1900’s as a bustling railway yard, the remaining cluster of late 19th century heritage listed buildings are now being redeveloped for commercial and residential opportunities to transform the area into a live-work-play destination.

Since 2000, we have been delivering an exciting urban renewal program across approximately 160 hectares in Midland to help deliver high-volume transit links, thousands of new homes, and vibrant retail and commercial areas.

We've also attracted top tier operators in the education and health sectors, fostering world-class health and education precincts. This revitalisation has injected around $1.2 billion into the local economy.
