We are launching our new sound system ‘Hive’ next Wednesday at Clerkenwell design week :)

In collaboration with @cake.architecture x @domustiles we will have the new system installed from the 19th - 21st of May exploring the relationship between space, sound, and material.

We have shaped the program for day two’s listening room & we can’t wait to invite -

@afromerm with @juicyflutes (live) - blending electronic elements with live flute, spoken and sung vocalisations, and a self-built motion-reactive instrument, Juniper

@kareemsamaramusic (live) - combining the Oud and Arabic percussion with loopers and samplers

I spent some time in Shetland a couple of months back; it was one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, and today I’m sharing seasketch, a short sound sketch I made while I was there, using the rhythm of the Shetland tides as a starting point. It is available to listen to/buy on my Bandcamp only, and today (until 8am BST Saturday 2nd) as part of Bandcamp Friday, 100% of the profits go to artists, so seize the day <3 listen in the sun

afromerm has been platformed by BBC Radio 1 (described as a ‘sonic innovator’), BBC Radio 3, NTS Radio and The Line of Best Fit. Her live work has found local and international audiences at the likes of Le Guess Who? Festival, London Jazz Festival, ICA and Cafe OTO.

Composition credits under Cecilia Morgan span independent film, contemporary dance, theatre and fine art media, with notable clients including Tate and The Fitzwilliam Museum.
