Most athletes get gel timing completely wrong. 🏃
Start fueling at 30 to 45 minutes in and repeat every 20 to 45 minutes after that.
The exact number depends on your distance, pace, and gut tolerance.
Practice your fueling in training. Race day is not the time to experiment. 🧃

B is for Bonk 💀
You know the feeling — legs stop, brain fogs, and a pace that felt easy an hour ago feels impossible. You're not tired. You're empty.
The bonk hits when glycogen runs out, usually around 90 minutes in without fueling. It's not a fitness problem. It's a fueling problem — and it's 100% preventable.
Start fueling at 30 minutes and never stop. Tell us your bonk story — we've all got one. 👇

Training is hard enough. Your face doesn’t have to make it harder 😄
Research shows smiling during exercise can lower perceived effort, helping tough workouts feel a little easier mentally while keeping you more relaxed during hard efforts.
A small mindset shift. A surprisingly real performance benefit.

Needed one gel. Left with enough fuel for a 100-miler.
Somewhere between "just browsing" and checkout, the brain shut off and the athlete took over.

ICYMI 👀 the Podium Racing team showed up at Supertri Austin!! 🔥 Teamwork was our goal for this season opener of the Supertri series and these athletes Went To Work.
Zuzana Michaličková blazed through the course and with a fiery sprint finish earned herself a spot on the podium in third place 🏆
Zuzana says: “I felt well, I’m satisfied, and I need to practice a little with the sprint finish. It was a good experience, a beautiful location, and I am happy that I am a part of the Podium Racing team for this season” @zubka_official
Dani Orie had a strong start with a fast swim, coming out of the water with teammate Zuzana. An unfortunate crash on the bike course led to a mechanical and a DNF. Most importantly: Dani is unharmed and she is ready for WTCS Alghero! 💪 @danielleorie
~
Strong finishes all around for the Tucson Collaborative athletes with Cole Jamieson leading the way for us in sixth place. The Tucson Collaborative team is pushing boundaries and working on some team race tactics for events like this. While it didn’t go perfectly on the day that’s all a part of it: learning and growth ⚡️
Cole says: “First Supertri race of the year was a success! Had a good front pack swim, strong bike and a solid run to finish top 6. The atmosphere was amazing, so excited to do it again in Toronto!”
• Cole Jamieson –P6@_colejamieson_
• Diego Ladera – P12@diego.ladera
• Jake Adler – P13@jake.adlerr
• Peyton Miller – P17@peyton_miller100
• Evan Mahrous – P18@evan.mahrous

The Podium Racing Team is growing! This was our first event with our combined pro-am team of athletes. Four of our community team members raced with us in Austin ➡️ swipe for their feedback!

As always, we are incredibly grateful to our partners and sponsors for their support 🙏
