Seeing one of my flies in the mouth of that specific fish will never get old. What’s even sweeter is that it’s a pattern I’ve been working on that combines my favorite parts of a raghead, a strong arm merkin, and a flexo crab. It fits all the profiles, still lands relatively softly due to the flexo material, and keels on the strip thanks to @flatscraft “The Claw”. It’s always fun cooking up ideas at the bench, but if they don’t work, there’s not much point in doing it. Happy to see that this one does in fact work, even on some of the more spooky permit down in Honduras like this one.

The shrimp:
Body and tail is a mix of @naukeli Alpaca latte and orange. Topped with orange Nutriaand a few strains of midge crystalflash. A hen hackle around the tail parts.

Shell is topped with @raidzap thin and @easyshrimpeyes mahogany brown have an red pupil made with resin. At last eyes are topped with super thin for a smooth finish.
