A queer.red Presentation
World Premiere of three supported projects + Filmmaker Talk

What does it take to make porn? Technical skills, the right hardware and software, money, people and time. For sex workers, gathering all of these resources can be a challenge. But sex workers are resourceful as fuck! Often creating art that injects a breath of fresh air into the language of porn. More than that, they’re reshaping how porn is produced, infusing their sets with fun and care that is unmistakable to the audience.

Believing in the audacious creativity of sex workers, queer.red presents! gave a final push to three queer sex workers to bring their porn projects to completion. In this session, we’ll celebrate the premiere of these films and dive into a conversation with the filmmakers about their creative processes, the obstacles they faced and how they overcame them.

This year marks 50 years since the historic Saint-Nizier Church occupation in Lyon — the protest that initiated International Sex Workers’ Day one June 2nd we celebrate to this day.

On June 2, 1975, sex workers took over a church to demand safety, dignity, and labour rights. Their bravery ignited a global movement.

To honour their legacy, ESWA is organising a coordinated day of action on June 2, 2025.

Sex worker-led groups across Europe will reclaim churches and other symbolic spaces, demanding justice, safety, and rights — just as they did 50 years ago.

A hybrid feature film that blends documentary with fiction and approaches cinema as a ritual of symbolic transformation in the death experience of seven transwomen. The film’s testimonies, along with surreal and fantastic scenes, come together to narrate death viewed from different angles: as related to transfeminicides and as social death that seeks to nullify through exclusion and silence those seen as uncomfortable by others. The film also deals with the multiple deaths that we experience in life; death that speaks of resignations, of forgetfulness, of separations, of changes. “Every Time I Die” is an invitation to shake off mourning through delirious weeping or through sagacious bursts of laughter, with the aim of seeing death through the eyes of those who radiate life, celebrate life, and struggle for life.

This film will be introduced by @papaya_kuira lesbo-transfeminist collective created by and for Latin American migrants and refugees residing in the Netherlands and the larger community interested in their struggle.

After more than ten years working in the sex industry, María Riot decides to delve deeply into artistic projects related to sexual work since art and creation is their primary motivation always. One of them is “Archivo Puta”, a project that currently has more than 600 photographs in analog and instant formats. This infinite project in constant construction aims to unite activism and the political recognition of rights for the collective as well as appeal to the sensitivity that only art can give. She will present her work and talk about the project in more depth.

María Riot is currently based in Buenos Aires, Argentina and Barcelona, Spain. She is a sex worker, sex workers’ rights activist, intimacy coordinator and artist. She is a member of AMMAR, the Sex Workers Union of Argentina. She writes in the media and books and gives talks on sex work, such as the lecture “Bad women: control mechanisms” at the Museum TEA Tenerife in January 2024 in the framework of Fotonoviembre at the International Biennial of Photography. She is a curator of the selection and screening of films about sex work “Whores on Screen: Portraits of sex work in first person” and is currently working as an actress and scriptwriter in a documentary film about sex work with the Argentinean film director Agustina Comedi. She is the author of the photography project “Archivo Puta”, exhibited for the first time at MACBA, Barcelona last December 2023 in the frame of the “108 days” exhibition, by Lydia Ourahmane.

In a guided qleasure practice we will research, uncover and practice the relationship we have to qleausure.

Qleasure or queer pleasure breaks boundaries, borders and binaries. There is no norm, no right way, no wrong way, only your way. Qleasure states we are all experts when it comes to our own pleasure, we just need some time and space to figure it out sometimes.

During this practice, we will focus on the individual relationship(s) we have to pleasure. What feels good? What does my body want? How does my head want to be touched, right here, right now? We start this session by grounding in the space, checking in with the others, making some collective agreements, before we go into a guided practice followed by some free play. This workshop is focused on the relationship with your own body, not those of others. The latter is to be explored in the full 4nights series called Pleasure Nights! @pleasurenights

This workshop will be in English, is SW-only and offers space for max 20 participants.

@_gia__g_is a queer heaux, spicy performer and model, pleasure activist, facilitator and writer. They dedicate their practice and personal life to seeking, researching and practicing pleasure by helping people connect with their own expertise. Their multiple experiences are also intertwined with queer and so called non-conform identity.
