10 internet filmmakers. 100 days. One historic theatre.

These short films were crafted by creators who were told the big screen wasn’t made for them.

But in less than three weeks, they’ll be premiering their first films at Austin’s historic Paramount Theatre at the Camp Film Fest. Where we’ll also be hosting an edition of Tarantino’s and Roger Avery’s Video Archives Podcast live.

The full Tarantino interview in this video will be posted by @americanbaron! Thanks to @patreon giving us this amazing opportunity.

Tier 2 tickets end today at 11:59pm. Visit campfilmfestival.com or go to the link in our bio to learn more

Two Sleepy People is the #1 INDEPENDENT FILM IN THE COUNTRY RIGHT NOW!!?

We just got an email this morning with the news… WHAT!

@twosleepymovie opened last Thursday. And, as of yesterday…

We are the top grossing film in the country this week without any major studio backing OR major distributor - just the power of the internet and community.

Thank you guys, this is insane.

Because of this success, we’re now expanding and will have another whole week of showtimes in major cities (NYC, Chicago, Boston, Austin, Houston, SF, etc..). We’re getting more news back from theaters today and tomorrow about expansion so stay tuned!

Canada, we’re coming to you this week! We have showtimes all across the country starting today (Montreal got moved to the 30th! But will have a full week starting then).

If you outside of North America, we hear you 😭
We’re working as hard as we can to get international showings. The best way to help right now is to go to our website and sign up for updates. The more sign ups we get, the more demand we can show theaters!

If #TwoSleepyPeople isn’t playing near you, tag your local theater below!

(send this to a friend, partner, or… an ex)

WE’RE GOING TO EUROPE!!

Two Sleepy People has officially been picked up by @mk2films for European distribution.

After a full US theatrical run with over 1,000 showtimes, we’re announcing this live from Cannes Film Festival!

Truly can’t believe it.

A year ago we had a thesis: the next generation of storytellers isn’t coming from Hollywood. They’re coming from the internet. We called them “internet filmmakers” not knowing how big the wave would truly get. But could just feel it was coming.

Then made @twosleepymovie with @americanbaron & @caroline_konstnar to prove it.

Now there’s @kanepixels’s Backrooms, @curry.barker’s Obsession, @markiplier’s Iron Lung and so many more.

To be in the same conversation, released by the same international distributors (@mk2) who worked on Iron Lung, is insane to us.

Big shoutout to @ethan.uncurated, @shenny.visuals, @permanentglue, @josh.czuba, @_whitworth_, @jt_clemente @david_lawsonjr @mitchcroberts and all the other creators involved in the push to make this happen.

This one’s for every artist who ever thought the big screen wasn’t meant for them. We’re just getting started.

Link in bio for full article.

The math behind movies is way more complicated than you think.

And it’s the reason why the entire entertainment industry is starting to implode.

Say a movie makes $50M at the box office, how much do the creators actually take home?

If it cost $40M to produce, most people would guess they’d earn somewhere close to $10M.

Truth is: that project would actually still be losing tens of millions of dollars.

This is why studios keep greenlighting familiar sequels over original stories. They’re spending more, taking fewer risks, and don’t seem to know how to market anything new.

Meanwhile, @markiplier just self-distributed Iron Lung.
We took @twosleepymovie to 100+ theaters.

Lower budgets. Direct audiences. With the creators actually owning majority stakes.

This model doesn’t really replace traditional film, but it highlights a new option for indie artists everywhere.

(We’ll be breaking down the entire process behind how we built + released @twosleepymovie soon. So anyone can replicate)

Is the only path for creatives to hope a platform buys them out? Or can you actually sustain yourself making original work?

In 2026, we’re excited to continue ushering in the next wave of media.

But first, here’s a breakdown of exactly how we built Camp Studios over the past year:

Across 2025, we tested a belief we’ve had for a long time: that the next wave of cinema is coming from small corners of the internet, where creators are telling incredible stories from their backyards.

And that those stories are capable of reaching the big screen without Hollywood.

We hosted a festival for our community. Published our thinking. Took a movie our friends made to 100+ theaters. And proved what we always knew to be true.
This year is the year to dream even bigger, more creators, more formats, more experiments.

All of it is being built in public, using Notion as the place where our thinking, timelines, chaos, and plans actually live.

Thanks @notionhq for being the home base behind everything we’re building next.

In 2026, we’re excited to continue ushering in the next wave of media.

But first, here’s a breakdown of exactly how we built Camp Studios over the past year:

We honestly can’t believe it. Two Sleepy People just became the #1 independent film in the country, because of all of you.

This kind of thing never happens to artists just breaking in. To films without any studio backing or major distribution deals.

@creatorcamp is a small team of 5 working around the clock to spread the belief that the internet is capable of changing the film industry for good.

We grew up in a generation where anyone could pick up a camera and tell a story that moved thousands. We we’re told to “do what you can’t” (@caseyneistat).

And just 8 months ago, we had no idea how to get into theaters or market a movie.

BUT NOW… @twosleepymovie is #8 at the domestic box office for all self-distributed films in history (according to The Numbers).

And you guys did this during a literal snowstorm, which is honestly insaneee.

But, opening weekend was just the beginning.

Even though, we just got extended another week at @drafthouse, @regalmovies, @cinemark, @starcinemagrill, & @evocinemas across North America…

Here’s how it works: theaters compare indie film numbers to blockbusters week by week.

One slow week and we’re out. They need those seats and the big studios are always waiting.

So, we’re fighting for every single showtime right now.

If you’ve been meaning to grab a ticket and experience @twosleepymovie in a real theater now’s the time.

Tag us when you go see it!

Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
Here’s to the future of storytelling.

two sleepy people // @creatorcamp 🤝 @kiuzr

Created some collage animation for @twosleepymovie using physical prints and stop motion, as well as using scanned prints of the poster to come up with a digital stop motion animation of the movie's poster.

Wanted to take a more hands-on approach with this in order to somewhat combat the alarming development and normalization of AI online

The second slide is inspired by my brother @bykxng 🐐

This movie is a project born from the internet. Made with a small cast and crew of creators.

Two Sleepy People, is a story of two strangers who, after taking a new line of melatonin gummies, get stuck in the same lucid dream every single night.

@twosleepymovie in theathers now! 🎬

There’s ONE thing all these movies have in common.

And that same thing made 5 couples break up after the premiere of our movie: @twosleepymovie

comment “breakup” to watch it today.

“Two Sleepy People” is a story that’ll make you wonder how much you’re TRULY living when you’re awake.

And how much of yourself you’re sacrificing for the sake of others.

In US/Canada theaters NOW for just a few days. THIS WEEKEND matters most.

If you want something to do, support indie film!

It’s been 12 months since we started this journey of getting a movie into theaters WITHOUT Hollywood.

And TONIGHT, @twosleepymovie finally comes out in 100 theaters across the U.S. & Canada for it’s official opening weekend.

Over 1,000+ showtimes across the next week.

From shooting and editing it in less than 100 days with our closest friends, to learning EVERYTHING we could about the film industry, and bringing thousands of you into the project with us.

This is the first ever movie with 20,000+ people in the credits. The first example of internet cinema.

comment “movie” to see it in theaters THIS WEEK ONLY.

Here’s to the future of storytelling being led by you.

__________________________

Two Sleepy People is a 90min romantic dramedy by @americanbaron & @caroline_konstnar where two strangers get stuck in the same lucid dream every night and are forced to unravel the most honest versions of themselves.

Like our most of our dreams: it gets pretty weird, really deep, and painfully revealing.

Two Sleepy People | Official Teaser Trailer

OUT IN THEATERS FOR 1 WEEK ONLY.
GET TICKETS BEFORE THEY SELL OUT.

This is the story of two strangers who, after taking a new line of melatonin gummies, get stuck in the same lucid dream every single night.

Things start to get a bit complicated though as… Syd is married in the real world.

It’s a heartfelt story about love and identity that made 5 couples break up after the first premiere (seriously).

And, after being written in just 12 days by @americanbaron & @caroline_konstnar, it’s a movie project completely born from the internet. Made with a small cast and crew of creators.

The is the first movie with over 20,000 people in the credits, all of which were normal people just wanting to support original, indie films.

Learn more on our site, let’s do this.

Every bit of support during opening weekend helps this film keep expanding.

See you in theaters.
