Shared a WIP of Looks like Porcelain, Smells like Meat recently. Here’s some photos and some responses from the evening. I’m so thankful to my cast of dancers who went on this quick exploration with me (we had about 5 hrs total of rehearsal as an ensemble :o) and for their trust in the process. A short Screendance work inspired by my many failed attempts of passing a CAPTCHA test while interrogating the accessibility of these things. This work was made in collaboration with some incredible humans. I was really excited to work with @one_eyed_hound for the composition as we both like to approach things through research before creating something. As a result, he incorporated Maya Angelou’s voice along with a melody that actually spells out the word HUMAN in binary (the language of machines) throughout the track ◽️◼️
