Some frames slowed down and mostly from between casts when we were shooting an episode for Loop’s Youtube series in southern Sweden recently - because life a bit slowed down, sometimes just makes you feel good, doesn’t it? 🙇🏼‍♀️🦋🍃🐳🐞🌲🐻🌿 pc @tedlogardt 👑

We are currently filming in New Brunswick on the Northwest Miramichi River, documenting striped bass populations that have risen to unimaginable numbers and come up the river to spawn. I’ve never seen anything like it—it’s truly a story of abundance and the come back of this wild native species.

But this remarkable resurgence of striped bass here in New Brunswick comes at a cost for Atlantic salmon. It’s a powerful reminder of how delicate the balance is within these ecosystems. I hope that one day, both of these wild fish can thrive together—and that the actions being taken will help move us in that direction.

The conditions are perfect and I feel it’s only a question of time before someone hooks up to a Restigouche River giant.
