I had the extreme pleasure of mastering the new release DEEP CUTS by Mr. @gavincastletonPerfect for Halloween!Check it out at gavincastleton.bandcamp.com.
From Gavin: “The album is a definitive collection of my fan fiction and horror tribute songs, newly remixed and remastered, topped off with 3 unreleased tracks for 2025 (one about Quint from Jaws, one about neighborly werewolves, and one from the perspective of a robot house with poor sportsmanship).”

Credits: Falling (the Twin Peaks theme) was written by Angelo Badalamenti and David Lynch, produced and mixed by Gavin Castleton, featuring vocals by Holly Frost (aka @hollyfrostswings, aka Lex Land, aka One Big Dark Room).
Strange Fruit was written by Abel Meeropol, produced by Gavin Castleton and Brian Cass aka bcassachusetts / Overclock Orchestra; mixed by Brian Cass, featuring vocals by Dua Boakye of @BadRabbits.
Since 1968 was written by Gruvis Malt - @gruvismaltarchive, remixed by Brian Cass / Overclock Orchestra.

I recently had the pleasure of mastering the new album “Live at The Blue Door” by @cartersampson aka The Queen of Oklahoma.
Good stuff! Thanks for having me involved, Carter!

For the last 20 years, this Oklahoman has consistently delivered high-quality songwriting and gorgeous vocals, proving that she is one of the very best around. Her previous albums were produced in a studio setting using a full band, while her latest release captures a live solo performance. “I play a lot of solo shows, as well as with a band. On this album, I wanted a stripped-down recording to highlight the songs and me singing them.” In November 2024, Sampson teamed up with long-time bandmate and engineer Kyle Reid to record two live shows at The Blue Door. The Blue Door has been the premier listening room in OKC and a home base venue for the artist for many years. Live at The Blue Door is Carter Sampson at her best, riding the strength of her songs and her powerful voice.
