Drawing has always been a cozy corner; a safe and soft space for artist Mohadese Mahdaviamjad (@aurora.illlustration ). It’s a place she invites others to step into and learn from. Mohadese shares not only her warming illustrations and a sense of comfort, but also simple techniques for others to enhance their own art.

Mohadese told us what inspires her, “small, everyday moments that might feel ordinary or repetitive to others, but never to me. It could be someone reading a newspaper on a comfortable chair, a quiet nap in the middle of the day, or the way light and shadow gently change a space.”

Wanting to improve your art, but not quite feeling it? Mohadese lets us in on what worked for her: “simply continuing. I usually start with a feeling, and let the light guide everything else.”
