At Pique, Montreal collective @morphsounds invites marginalized voices to reclaim the sound spaces they deserve 🔊

Operated by @honeydrippp and Rian Adamian, MORPH Sound System was created to uplift and empower women and queer individuals through sound system building, technical education, and skill-sharing. Through workshops, mentorship, and community-driven learning, MORPH Sound System dismantles barriers to access and reimagines the relationship between creativity, technology, and collective liberation ✨

Join MORPH Sound System at Topique for an artist talk, tech demo, and an appearance on the panel “Decolonial Devices and Community Sound Design: Seizing the Means of Production”—all on June 13 at Arts Court 🌐

Music-based artist-scholar @_alannastuart_ (pka @pynesound ) will show-and-share what she learned producing the @rew_fwd project, a photo- and documentary-
based, multidisciplinary public art show hailing up bass music and soundsystem culture in Toronto, Canada. Rewind/Forward is a moment to explore: Who is forwarding Toronto’s bass music culture? How are women and queer sound system owners challenging the culture’s problematics from within? What are the parallels and perpendiculars between Toronto’s and other queer and female diasporic sound system expressions? And what happens when those on the margins are placed at the centre of sonic geographies and their operations?

Ensemble, ils construiront un circuit électronique, puis recevront un extrait sonore à explorer. Ce son servira de point de départ à un modelage en argile, dans laquelle ils intégreront leur circuit afin de donner vie à leur sculpture.
