🚀 On the 22nd of September, 2024, the Rocket Powered Lander Project, became the first team in CPP College of Engineering history to implement an active controller during a static fire of a rocket engine. Over the twenty-five second test, the team was able to dynamically control the thrust and throttle between different target thrusts within a 5% margin. To add to this feat, they have also become the first student team of any school or university to design and test a liquid augmented solid rocket motor — an entirely new class of rocket engine.

Learn by doing at Cal Poly Pomona is taken to new horizons each year, as CPP students push the boundaries of technologies in hands on projects like no other university.
