I’m in a movie 🍿🎬📽️

We filmed a scene in The History of Sound back in early 2024. It was quick and nerve-wracking, but these musicians got the work DONE and I’m very proud of how it sounds. Go check us out in this beautiful musicological gay romance.

Always thankful to @buckmcdaniel for putting me in these gigs that feel too good to be true

In memory of my brother, a few words I helped write for the announcement of his passing:

Larry Ray Perkins Seefeldt passed at his home in Avon, IN on Wednesday, May 15th 2024. He was born March 18th, 1977 to mother Patricia Rose and father Larry Ray Perkins, Sr in Columbus, OH. Larry and his sister Stephanie lost their father in 1979. Larry had trouble pronouncing his name as a child, so his family would often affectionately refer to him as “Wawwy Way.”

Later in life, he loved to fix up old trucks, leading to many notable emergency room visits the family still references today. He was an All-State wrestler in high school and was impossibly strong. He was a lover of music, always blaring The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, The Beastie Boys, and Nirvana - shaping the musical tastes of everyone around him. Larry’s handsome smile, raspy laugh, and big, coke bottle eye glasses made him an unmistakable presence.

At the turn of the millennium, Larry enlisted in the Navy. For the 7 years he was away, he worked as a machinist mate and spent most of his time in Japan. He traveled the world at sea. This led to his post-naval career as a medical equipment repair engineer.

Larry is survived by his daughter, Olivia Rae Seefeldt (14) of Noblesville, IN. Olivia was a beautiful light in Larry’s life and his loss will be felt for a long time to come. Larry is also survived by his siblings Stephanie Perkins Cole (Avon, IN) Samantha Alexander (Danville, IN), Mary Ann Smiddy (Mounds, OK) and Christopher Seefeldt (NYC.) And by his mother Patricia Rose (Avon, IN.) Larry’s brother Michael preceded him in death (1984)

We all loved Larry very much and cared deeply for him. His quick humor, impeccable taste in movies and music, and his devil-may-care philosophy on life will be the parts of him that we will always hold on to and take care of.

I can remember a day in Indiana: overcast, wet, autumn. Synthia and I had just finished class for the day when we walked past the confident, curly-haired soprano everyone had been talking about. “That’s her,” I whispered, followed by a pinch to my side to keep me quiet. The early days of Monica were a funny time to be in Synthia’s life.
💐💐
This weekend, we all gathered to watch them fulfill a promise that has been coming for quite some time. A wet, overcast, autumn day in Manhattan. Carefully planned, meticulously sincere, lovingly mindful. It is a true gift having such wonderful friends to celebrate.
