Tourism has long been intertwined with Italy, and
especially with the Costiera Amalfitana. Yet the
passage of visitors has not always been without
consequence. Among the most common—and
least appreciated—habits of certain travelers is the
urge to inscribe their presence on walls, doors,
monuments, and even rocks. These marks, often
little more than names or dates, are attempts to
leave a trace of one’s existence as a symbolic immortality.
What makes this gesture particularly problematic
is that it is uninvited.
With the Vandal Collection, the premise shifts
entirely. Instead of rejecting the intervention of
strangers, Anotherview actively invites passersby
and unknown participants to contribute to the
creation of an artwork—transforming an act
usually perceived as vandalism into an intentional
process of collective and participatory creativity.

A discreetly positioned camera captures the scene continuously, and the footage is played back with a half-hour delay. As a result, diners find themselves watching strangers inhabiting their own places in the mirror—people who were sitting exactly where they are now, just a short while before.

During Milan Design Week, the Secret Bar at Trattoria Altra Vista opens its doors—quietly, selectively, and only by reservation.

This is not simply a bar.
It is a living installation.
An evolving scene shaped like an Italian bar and trattoria—where design, atmosphere, and human presence merge into one continuous composition.

Guests are not just visitors, but part of the installation itself.

Each evening unfolds differently.
Each presence leaves a trace.

Attendance is limited to 150 guests per night, ensuring an intimate and immersive experience.
