This past weekend, Cal Poly Maritime Academy celebrated the achievements of 170 students at its commencement ceremony. Prior to the ceremony, 14 graduating midshipmen took an oath of office and commissioned as officers in either the U.S. Navy Reserve Strategic Sealift Officer Force or the U.S. Navy.

The university also awarded an Honorary Doctor of Science degree to @captainkatemccue, who graduated in 2000 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and is the inaugural captain of Four Seasons, helping launch a new era in luxury yachting.

We’re proud to see this class carry forward a legacy of leadership, service and hands-on experience into the maritime industry and beyond. #CalPolyMaritimeAcademy #CalPolyProud
