At CERA Week, the "Super Bowl of energy" hosted annually in Houston, TX, we ran into Julie Ortiz, who leads "Low Carbon Strategy" at Chevron.

In Chevron's make-believe world, they think they're fooling people with titles like "Low Carbon Strategy." In 2026, do they really believe any amount of greenwashing can clean up their image?

Our friend had done their homework – and spent about 10 full minutes confronting Julie with facts and figures from the past hundred years of Chevron's criminal, murderous, manipulative strategy to torch and plunder the world for profit.

Steven Donziger is a humans rights lawyer who helped Indigenous Ecuadorians fight back against Chevron's toxic dumping. They won their suit to the tune of billions of dollars — so Chevron targeted Donziger in particular, manipulating the courts and putting him behind bars for daring to stand up to them. Here's what he had to say:

"Chevron might be the world’s leading corporate human rights violator. The company either causes or is complicit in thousands of deaths per year of innocent civilians. In the Amazon of Ecuador, Chevron’s toxic dumping has decimated indigenous groups and killed thousands with cancer. It is time countries cancel Chevron’s social license to operate, liquidate its assets, and distribute all ill-gotten gains to the vulnerable communities the company has harmed."

People that work for Chevron are responsible for the most lethal atrocities of our times, and they should be confronted with their choice to be complicit in Chevron's crimes at every turn.
