THRILLED to announce that Comfort Food will be screening at the fantastic @bravemakerfilmfest in Redwood City. After seeing how kind this fest was when @crossingthedesert screened last year, I could not resist submitting my next film from the #afidww program. They are filmmaker lovers, community-driven, and they care deeply about folx connecting with folx. So honored. So happy. More info for the July screening is coming soon.

I AM SO THRILLED. @caamedia has been one of my favorite festivals in the country supporting non-traditional stories by API filmmakers. Their spirit is a gift to our industry. COMFORT FOOD has been selected to premiere in one of their six shorts programs (“Old Roots New Branches”) and we are so very honored. Sheheryar Ahsan is an experienced producer and filmmaker with a diverse portfolio spanning platforms like Paramount+, BET+, and YouTube. An AFI Conservatory graduate, he’s worked on acclaimed projects like STALLED (KCET, PBS) and SHAMS (Tasveer Film Fund + Netflix). His storytelling expertise bridges fiction and non-fiction, creating impactful films and doc-series that inspire and educate.
