Drawing upon her childhood "beachcombing", the practice of scanning shorelines for materials ranging from dried seaweed to shells and other refuse, Laura forms sculpture at the intersection of the natural and synthetic. Ephemera and luminous objects take on new qualities that blur the organic and artificial dichotomy in alchemical combinations made via the artist's intuition. @theboxla represents Laura’s work and presented it at Frieze LA in 2024.
