This Friday March 6, Parallel Paths: The Long Ride Home features work by Vinetta Miller, an artist at the Center for Creative Works, shown alongside images of Black cowboys from Ron Tarver’s photography book, The Long Ride Home: Black Cowboys in America.
Miller reinterprets these powerful photographs. The works are presented side by side, inviting viewers to reflect on history, representation, and the enduring legacy of Black cowboys in America. @vinetta_paints @center4creativeworks @rontarver

For the past year, I’ve been working with Vinetta Miller as she created work inspired by images from Ron Tarver’s book The Long Ride Home. Ron’s original photograph from the book and Vinetta’s interpretation will be shown side by side on March 6 at Space 1026. @space1026 @center4creativeworks @vinetta_paints @rontarver

I’m thrilled to be working with @vinetta_paints through my day gig at @center4creativeworks, whose work is inspired by the photography of @rontarver.
