Such a fun race running past so many iconic sights, as well as places/venues where much of my own music life was forged (I filmed myself passing by my teenage era band’s old rehearsal space at Hollywood & Western.) swipe to see

I first ran it in 2010, then in 2015, & 2020 (four days before the pandemic lockdown era kicked off!). I was gonna do it last year, but the fire took me outta the game for a while… so, this time was kinda a do-over.I didn’t start training until December & I was really outta fighting shape… but thanks to pretty disciplined weekly training & more recently taking a hiatus from booze & sugar, I somehow managed to hurl myself across the finish line… despite the cruelty of all the uphill grades that dominated the last 3rd of the route, along with an especially hot sun!
