On achievements. And dreams. 💫

I already shared some of the pitfalls I encountered along the way in the previous post.

One of them being… feeling less successful and established than others.

Well, let’s see what I have under my belt for 2022. Maybe I should reframe my own mindset and the reality won’t be so grim. 🌚

In 2018 won a £60.000 scholarship to study creative industries in the UK and Europe.

2019 – started a podcast on the creation of the luxury industry interviewing founders of the world's top creative agencies.

In 2020 I met my soulmate and joined the family business, growing the turnover x3 times in two years.

2022 – booked my first role in a feature film, started a YouTube channel and returned to my blog.

What’s next?

I want to travel. As well as growing my social presence and shooting creative investigations along the way. 🕵🏻🎥

One thing remains a bit unclear though: which path will eventually take me, acting or branding. I guess only time will tell. 

I now have a question for you: 👀

On failures. And getting out of there. 🦾👀

I remember my daily scrolling of LinkedIn jobs feed this summer and hating myself for not complying with the «standards».

It wasn’t the worst thing, though.The truth is, I couldn’t find a job that sparked even the tiniest bit of interest inside.

The result?

Nervous breakdowns, lots of tears, feeling a complete mess, and much shame for everyone around me being so much more successful and established than I was.

But then something happened.

Well, then happened some test tasks that I hated even more than myself. 🤡

And then…

I stopped lying to myself and listed things that I want in my life. And feelings I want to feel.

The corporate world wasn’t there. Wifehood neither.

I realized that I want to feel independent, strong, and beautiful. Being able to make my own choices. 🕵🏻🎥

Which meant that I had to take all the responsibility for myself and my actions. Felt terrible at first, scaring the gut out of me. 

I guess that’s how people grow up. Some earlier and some a bit later. 🥸

I’m happy I parted ways with the idea of someone else telling me what to do and embraced the unknown.

I’d now describe myself as a recovering creator and brand maker, standing at the crossroads between branding and acting careers.

Let’s see who wins the game. :)

Top-picks so far:

1. Exfoliating cleanser by @tataharperskincare . Extra points for the fresh scent and their soft power marketing strategy :) Saw a couple of influencers I trust using Tata’s products. 🙌

2. Day cream and gentle cleanser by @aurelialondon. Love the fact that the founder is an expert in probiotic skincare with 10+ years of experience herself and went through the nightmare of finding the best solution for face&body.

Somewhat funnily, I also fell victim to the « probiotic skincare » gimmick. Literally feel these probiotics enter my skin when using the cream. 😅

More to follow as I plunge into adulthood without having any specific instructions, so to say.
