Ένα μαθητικό συνέδριο όπου έφηβες και έφηβοι μίλησαν ανοιχτά για τη βία μεταξύ ανηλίκων, τη σημασία της αποδοχής και την ανάγκη να νιώθει κάθε παιδί ασφαλές στο σχολείο του.

Μέσα από παρουσιάσεις, συζητήσεις με ειδικούς και δημιουργικές δράσεις, μαθητές και μαθήτριες έστειλαν το δικό τους μήνυμα: μόνο ΜΑΖΙ μπορούμε να διαμορφώσουμε ένα περιβάλλον ασφάλειας, σεβασμού και ελπίδας.

ℹ️ Η πλατφόρμα έχει αναπτυχθεί από το ΚΜΟΠ στο πλαίσιο του ευρωπαϊκού έργου “ECOSYSTEM”, το οποίο συγχρηματοδοτείται από το πρόγραμμα “Πολίτες, Ισότητα, Δικαιώματα και Αξίες” της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης. ⏪ Throwback to the powerful discussions from our participation in the #LeftBehindness conference, hosted by the University of Barcelona on 13 February.

Together with leading academics, policymakers, and civil society representatives, we explored how Europe can build a more inclusive and cohesive future for its regions and communities.

One message stood out clearly throughout the discussions: ensuring that no place and no community is left behind requires rethinking how territorial inequalities are measured, understood, and addressed.

As part of the 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐫𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 moderated by our researcher Nancy Zoidou Saripapa, two practical guides — developed with KMOP’s research contribution — were presented to help bridge the gap between local realities and public policymaking.

A special thank you to Akhil Gupta, Professor of Anthropology at @ucla, for opening the conference with a thought-provoking keynote on whom the green transition may leave behind.

And thank you to all speakers and participants whose insights enriched this important policy debate and strengthened a shared commitment to addressing inequalities across Europe and beyond.

📌 Το ΚΜΟΠ συμμετέχει στην ειδική ομάδα της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής για την ασφάλεια των παιδιών στο διαδίκτυο

Η Δρ. Αντωνία Τορρένς, Γενική Διευθύντρια του ΚΜΟΠ και Πρόεδρος της Συνομοσπονδίας Οικογενειακών Οργανώσεων της Ευρώπης, προσκλήθηκε να συμμετάσχει στην ειδική ομάδα που συγκάλεσε η Πρόεδρος της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής, Ούρσουλα φον ντερ Λάιεν, με στόχο την παροχή συμβουλών προς την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή σχετικά με την ασφάλεια των παιδιών στο διαδίκτυο και τα πιθανά ηλικιακά όρια για την πρόσβαση στα μέσα κοινωνικής δικτύωσης στην Ευρώπη.

Στην πρώτη της συνεδρίαση στις 5 Μαρτίου 2026 στις Βρυξέλλες, η ειδική επιτροπή αξιολόγησε τα διαθέσιμα στοιχεία σχετικά με τους κινδύνους και τα οφέλη από τη χρήση των μέσων κοινωνικής δικτύωσης και άλλων διαδικτυακών δραστηριοτήτων από τα παιδιά. Παράλληλα, συζητήθηκαν οι υφιστάμενες προσεγγίσεις για την ασφάλεια στο διαδίκτυο τόσο στην Ευρωπαϊκή Ένωση όσο και σε τρίτες χώρες.

💬 Κατά τη διάρκεια της παρέμβασής της η Δρ. Αντωνία Τορρένς σημείωσε:

«Τα παιδιά σήμερα μεγαλώνουν σε ένα ψηφιακό περιβάλλον όπου οι ευκαιρίες και οι κίνδυνοι συνυπάρχουν. Οι ψηφιακές τεχνολογίες και οι ψηφιακές πλατφόρμες μπορούν να ενισχύσουν τη μάθηση, τη δημιουργικότητα και τη συμμετοχή των παιδιών, αλλά ταυτόχρονα ενδέχεται να τα εκθέσουν σε κινδύνους που σχετίζονται με την γνωστική και ψυχολογική τους ανάπτυξη, την ψυχική και σωματική υγεία, την διαταραχή συμπεριφοράς σε διάφορα επίπεδα κ.α. Για τον λόγο αυτό, είναι απαραίτητο να επανασχεδιάσουμε τα ψηφιακά περιβάλλοντα με γνώμονα την ασφάλεια των παιδιών, μέσα από τεκμηριωμένες πολιτικές και υπεύθυνο σχεδιασμό των ψηφιακών πλατφορμών, λαμβάνοντας υπόψη και τη φωνή των ίδιων των παιδιών».

Οι εργασίες της ομάδας αναμένεται να ολοκληρωθούν έως το καλοκαίρι του 2026, οπότε και θα υποβληθούν συστάσεις προς την Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή, συμβάλλοντας στη διαμόρφωση περαιτέρω πρωτοβουλιών σε ευρωπαϊκό επίπεδο για την προστασία των παιδιών στο διαδίκτυο.
