In between festivals, our friends at Connected Agency @connected_fam are not wasting any time. This year, they have planned at least two concerts that we wholeheartedly recommend.

The first one is already happening next week: a show by Dälek, a veteran of abstract hip-hop who helped lay the foundations of the genre back in the late 1990s. If you are into clipping. or Death Grips today, missing a chance to see one of their godfathers would be a mistake. The concrete hopelessness of the metropolis, racism covered in a layer of rust, and total info-apocalypse — Dälek was among the first to channel dystopian moods through hip-hop delivery set against bleak industrial beats.

In October, Connected will bring Autechre — one of the most important projects in electronic music. Starting out in the early 1990s, Autechre quickly entered the pantheon of IDM gods alongside Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, and Boards of Canada. Over the three and a half decades that followed, however, they gradually separated themselves from their scene peers, building their own philosophy on the ruins of the genre — one that, for many fans, has become almost a religion.

By steadily expanding the limits of song structures and forms, Autechre eventually began to celebrate the idea of digital chaos itself. Stripped of familiar structure, deliberately plastic, and overloaded with events, their music became a metaphor for the present day. As an artistic gesture, it can be compared to Malevich’s Black Square or John Cage’s 4’33”.

The duo’s concerts take place in complete darkness, while the sound flow contains almost no recognizable elements — only distant echoes of familiar forms, accidental overlaps, and digital ripples.

Our longtime friends at Connected are back with a new spring edition of Changeover @changeover.festival. While their core focus remains on guitar-driven music, this in-between chapter brings a fair share of unexpected turns into inventive music territory.

On the lineup: Portuguese ambient songwriter sallim, heavyweight Polish dark jazz outfit Poskrom, and Milibri, whom you might remember from Fields.

Time to start digging — the festival is just a few weeks away, May 22–23.

Collecting memories and holding onto moments from the festival. We’ve been revisiting it all with our incredible team of photographers, videographers, and artists. This is just a part of the artists we hosted — a first portion of memories we’re sharing.

It began with the magical opening by PLEUREREME at Bioskop Balkan. The second day brought us to Karmakoma with Hélène Vogelsinger and Otvaal. On the third night, we shared unforgettable performances with Skier & Yeti, Bortnique, Kate NV, and 8Hz.

Not bound to one genre, Milibri blends nostalgic textures with modern production, moving through leftfield, trip-hop, ambient and breaks in a way that feels fluid.

Echoing that approach, visual artist Angelina Toros uses lo-fi 3D footage treated with analog filmic effects to build an immersive fantasy realm. Centered around the themes of water and myths, immersive visuals shift between dark and dreamy, dwelling in a fantasy realm.

Layering fluid textures and blurs, live visuals resonate with the way Milibri mixes different tonal colours, chord characters and note combinations across registers, creating a hazy, electro-shoegaze-like space, where textures, blur and rhythms move softly beneath the soundscape.

On @fields.music day 2, Milibri shared a selection of tracks from her debut album Time Frames, released on the label South Space London, along with a few unreleased pieces that for now can only be heard in her live sets.
