If you’ve watched any of my work, you know it’s personal. It always is. I create stories about difficult conversations & relationships I’ve had, and in that allowing myself to heal and move forward. Those relationships we have as young adolescents & how integral they are to the rest of our lives.

Thankful for @missnewbudi who cut two of these films. @tamaraem shot one of the most difficult films I’ll ever make. She knows - love to you. @nicolejzimmer is a legend in the art department now, but shot my first film. One of my first friends on these personal stories - I miss you. @elana_emer ‘s lens behind the camera & in friendship knew no bounds. Here for the wins & losses - always honest, grounding & a light for learning.

@julianlomaga for collaborating with me at arguably the most influential part of my career - a time I learned more than ever. My mind is a sponge - he’s a wise & patient teacher with an incredible eye.

@dmitrylopatin & @jonglendon - both shot films with me in an insanely short amount of time. How did we pull that off - seriously? Tight parameters, creatively tested - always.

@juliatomasone casted a few of these projects. I’ll always admire her ability to recognise performance - her honesty & patience with me & these stories is something I hold dear.

2020 was a weird time for filmmakers… but for @futurefilmshow it created a unique opportunity to be aired on Canada’s major broadcaster @cbcgem.

Excited to be an Executive Producer on @kashifpasta’s latest film, The Muslim Guide to Prayer in Space with @shyamvalera & producer @nachsays at @musubiarts. How cool is this poster?

Why is YouTube or Vimeo the ceiling for your short film? @ericbizzarri talks about the origin story of @futurefilmshow. From screening a bunch of black and white student films in a theatre to over a decade if film festivals.

Work with those you love, who love you back. Such a grant mantra by @ericbizzarri, thank you for this one man. I’m stealing this for sure.

Surround yourself with people you can win with and lose with. This is my biggest takeaway from my conversation with @ericbizzarri, filmmaker and founder of @futurefilmshow.

I think I’ve done that. Building a team isn’t easy, but finding the right people is the best feeling in the world.
