“Penetrable” (1990), de #JesúsRafaelSoto, está en préstamo a largo plazo en la Hispanic Society Museum & Library (@hispanic_society) en Nueva York hasta la primavera de 2026. We are pleased to announce the launch of @themuseumofmodernart’s Cisneros Research Guide, a bilingual research tool that offers public access to a selection of over 200 digital assets from the Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros (CPPC) Archives. Developed in collaboration with the CPPC and MoMA’s Archives, Library, and Research Collections, this new resource ensures the long-term accessibility of key materials related to Latin American art and culture.
The Cisneros Research Guide presents materials from the our website, alongside information about Patricia Phelps de Cisneros’ donations of art to MoMA’s collection and the ongoing research and programming of the Cisneros Institute, a research center of Latin American Art within the Museum. The Cisneros Research Guide will continue to incorporate new material from the CPPC, including future scholarship, publications, and digital assets in both English and Spanish.

Este 4 de junio, la edición en español de la publicación, “Momentum: Arte y ecología en la América Latina contemporánea”, será presentada en la Ciudad de México en un programa organizado por la Sala de Arte Público Siqueiros (@saladeartepublicosiqueiros, Ciudad de México), en colaboración con el Instituto Cisneros de The Museum of Modern Art (@themuseumofmodernart, Nueva York).
La presentación contará con la participación de Helena Chávez Mac Gregor (@helenachavezmacgregor), seguida de una conversación con Rosi Huaroco (@rosi_huaroco), Marcela Armas (@marcelarmas) y Miguel A. López (@miguelopez1), quienes reflexionarán sobre algunas de las preguntas y temas que atraviesan la publicación.

Join MoMA’s Cisneros Institute on May 27 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM EDT for “Politics of Light,” this year’s edition of the annual online seminar series “Study of the Gift,” presented by The Museum of Modern Art (@themuseumofmodernart, New York).
As part of MoMA’s ongoing research into its Latin American art holdings, this session will examine works by Alfredo Jaar (@alfredojaar), Rosângela Rennó (@turistatranscendental), and Amalia Pica (@amaliapica).
Moderated by Elena Shtromberg, the program brings together scholars Ana Maria Maia (@anamariamaia ), Eugenio Viola (@eugenioviola_official), and Erich Kessel Jr (@erchkssl) to examine how these artists use light to challenge perception and address questions of power, democracy, and representation.

“Santos y profetas” (1995), de Laura Anderson Barbata, en préstamo de la Colección Patricia Phelps de Cisneros, forma parte de “Wayamou: Lenguas de lo común” en el Museo Tamayo Arte Contemporáneo (@eneltamayo, Ciudad de México), en vista hasta el 10 de mayo de 2026.

Últimas semanas para visitar “Wifredo Lam: When I Don’t Sleep, I Dream” en The Museum of Modern Art (@themuseumofmodernart, Nueva York), en vista hasta el 11 de abril.
Esta es la primera retrospectiva dedicada al artista en Estados Unidos y reúne más de 130 obras realizadas entre las décadas de 1920 y 1970, siguiendo su trayectoria entre Cuba, España, Francia e Italia.
