Aloïs van Bruchem, aka Birdguy, returned to U? with his Sustainable Print Station. Last year, he created the artwork for U? and screen printed his own design onto clothing brought by visitors to the festival. This year, he screen printed a design created by the maker of this year’s artwork, Sophie Wantia.

We're coming together with a simple idea: to create an intimate social club that can build a community outside the structure of the clubbing sphere. This is a relaxed environment where we can gather, share, and interact to help foster stronger bonds and just have a good hang amongst old and new friends.

slide 1: @goriherder “I haven’t stopped chopping breaks since I was introduced to Squarepusher and Amon Tobin about five years ago at the Conservatory of Utrecht. Having followed Alois (Birdguy) as he dived deeply into his musical passions for about the same amount of time, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to release my first electronic track/remix—encouraging one of my closest friends to keep looking after himself. <3”

slide 2: @dwaalgastmusic “I love Birdguy’s melodies and atmosphere. With this remix, I wanted to create a laid-back trip-hop dub without his vocals, focusing more on a certain ‘90s vibe, accentuating specific sounds, and making it more hypnotizing.”

slide 3: @far_out_radio_systems “The Jacobian Smoke remix is a trip-hop-like track, containing a lot of Metasonix filtering and effects. I absolutely love those raw synths. I dedicated the remix to my precious son, Jakobe, the sunshine of my life. And linking this back to the song: if you don’t appreciate the rain, you don’t deserve the sun. ;-)”
