The established score is intended as a tool, a working space, to collectively rewrite the music through the contribution of the guests, their technique, their aesthetic, and the proposal of a melodic material of their choice. Challenges, discomfort, and the disruption of established habits are used as levers to push the music into its most intriguing territory. Tokyo-based drummer and artist @hattori_covert explores experimental music in the realm between acoustic and electric sound. His recent solo project combines drum set and vibraphone, an intriguing pairing that aims to transcend the boundaries of techno, ambient music and jazz, while also delving into acoustic improvisation and experimental electronica.

Philipp Martin
@philipp_.martin is a Leipzig-based bassist and composer. In his projects Glotze, Hypochondrische Ängste, and Die Andacht, his music oscillates between jazz concrète, serialism, minimalism, and simple songs. For him, the bass doesn’t always have to sound like a bass.

@philipp_.martin is a Leipzig-based bassist and composer. In his projects Glotze, Hypochondrische Ängste, and Die Andacht, his music oscillates between jazz concrète, serialism, minimalism, and simple songs. For him, the bass doesn’t always have to sound like a bass.

DIY ist mehr als nur eine Abkürzung – es ist Haltung, Widerstand und Community in einem und dies immer aus einem Wunsch nach Unabhängigkeit heraus. TRACKS wirft einen Blick hinter die Kulissen der DIY-Szene und trifft Menschen, die mit wenig Geld, aber mit viel Leidenschaft Räume, Labels und Werkstätten aufbauen. Zwischen Selbstausbeutung und Gentrifizierungs-Druck wird hier niedrigschwellige Kultur am Leben erhalten.
