En plus de temps en studio tout au long de l’année, la cohorte participe notamment à une série d’activités de soutien dramaturgique ainsi qu’un accompagnement structurel personnalisé.

Nourri par le waacking, le house et le théâtre physique, Flame s’intéresse au potentiel expressif et subversif des corps queers. Il examine les processus de somatisation par la danse et le mouvement, s’approche des limites de la performance physique, et dialogue avec l’état de transe.
Artiste montréalais d’origine franco-égyptienne, son travail aborde la fragmentation des récits mémoriels et identitaires, et la distorsion de l’espace-temps dramaturgique. Les rêves, les souvenirs et l’imaginaire sont ses outils préférés pour reconstruire sans cesse le réel et nourrir ses recherches chorégraphiques.

Informed by waacking, house, and physical theatre, Flame explores the expressive and subversive potential of queer bodies. He explores somatization through dance and movement, pushes the limits of physical performance, and engages in dialogue with trance states.
Montreal-based artist of Franco-Egyptian descent, his work delves into the fragmentation of memory and identity narratives and the distortion of dramaturgical space-time. Dreams, memories, and the imagination are his preferred tools for choreographic research and for continually reconstructing reality.
