About last week. The launch of the Around the World tour @shichiken_sake x @alainducasse took place in Paris at @ducassebaccarat.

An evening where French gastronomy met the clean, precise character of Shichiken sakes, playing with echoes of texture and aroma.

Our chefs created a menu like a conversation between two cultures: a shared experience where two crafts meet, respond, and elevate one another.

To mark this stop, an exceptional detail: a bespoke menu cover by @indenya_official, inspired by the lively movement of Alain Ducasse Sparkling Sake.

How we ended up, almost by accident, at the table of Alain Ducasse in the kitchen of Hôtel de Paris, Louis XV in Monaco. Life has a way of offering unexpected moments. A few impulsive decisions later, we were on a plane, invited by the Ducasse team, all stemming from an interview with Alain Ducasse, Kaori and Bert Voet that unfolded into an evening unlike any other.

Talking about Belgian, French and Japanese gastronomy, and about the quiet thread that connects them: shichiken sake. In Japan, they say ichi-go ichi-e (一期一会), one moment, one encounter. That day carried exactly that spirit, with less noise and more meaning.

From Tokyo to Paris and Brussels, sparkling sake is finding its place on the tables of top chefs and sommeliers. Lighter than wine, with a creamy effervescence. Alain Ducasse was one of the early pioneers, creating his own Sparkling Sake inspired by his Mediterranean terroir in collaboration with Shichiken.
